All of that from a single kit?
How about the mechanized/motorized portion?
Yup all in the kit. The kit is retired now, but I see one on ebay every once in awhile for a good price....
When did they first come out with it?
No clue. I was lucky to get one in a collection I bought......
Whoa, where you been Kellan? Haven't see you in a long time. I thought you were building a new layout in a new house?
Everything is still in boxes......lol
My daughter keeps me VERY busy. I still fiddle around with detailing and weather stuff tho.
Hopefully will start a layout again soon.....
I wanna come shopping at your place. WOW

The motor to operate the bridge was a seperate 30 dollar kit. The bridge itself back then was around 50-100 bucks give or take back when Walthers was making them. Made in the early 90s and continued through at least the late 90s, maybe even into the early 00's.

You must have a lot more money then me then because every single kit I have ever seen on ebay was well over 300 dollars plus. No way ill pay that for what was once a reasonably priced kit. Rumor has it one of the molds to make part of the kit broke and Walthers didnt want to repair the mold so they discontinued the kit. Which is a big mistake IMO, there are a lot of people out there that want this bridge and some are willing to pay overpriced costs in the secondary market for it. I kick myself I never bought this kit back when there were 10 on every shelf in every hobby shop. I always thought, its so common ill focus my money on other things in the hobby and grab one eventually. Then got out of the hobby for many years and when I got back into it, it had been out of production for quite some time by then and commanding rediculous prices in the secondary market.

I would certainly say so.
