The "Little Joe" EF4 has gotten the basic orange and was baking
Here it's out of the oven:
The other major color this will receive is black, but the masking and painting black will have to wait until the weekend. As the body was baking, i managed to solder the loose deck to a set of frames. Right now the main frames are baking in primer:
It's looking great already. Can't wait to see it finished.
Today masking the body of "Little Joe" and painting:
Masking was tough because of the proximity of handrails and other details near the black field. It's in the oven now and I'll have to do few corrections before i start with the decals.
Main frames were also painted:
Time to tackle the guiding trucks, tbc...
Everything is painted and now i have to clean the running gear, maybe do a little lubrication and put everything back together. Still to do are the windows in cabs, and finding a set of decals for it;
Oh yeah, the pantographs still need to be painted.
I did a few touchups here and there and i finally scored decals for Milwaukee Road locomotive. So decals are going on:
I will not be able to put every signage on this locomotive because i just don't have a complete photographic record to look at, but the logos, "F" and maybe a few warnings will get to put on.
I just discover your thread Kriegslok.

The "74" are dry transfers which i immediately had to cover with a clear coat yesterday. Both pantographs had to be fixed since the soldering gave way on some details. Running gear was cleaned, tbc...

I can picture the shell being suspended by a massive overhead crane in a locomotive shop. Nice work.
