Hi.
Here are a few photos of a Logging engine i have more or less finished, it started out as a Mantua RTR Engine every thing except the chassis and boiler was discarded, it was rebuilt using a "Backwoods Miniatures" kit, which is a mixture of Brass etchings and white metal castings. It is my first attempt at a brass loco also first attempt at using a air brush. The orange is D&RGW,bit lighter than i had hoped for,the black is just "grimy black" both by scalecoat finished with 3 coats of lacquer all acrylics(it is actually a very matt finish the flash gives it a shine). To finish i need to design and print some decals for the side with the logging company's name, a pair of clear lenses for the lights, and then it really wants weathering for that neglected look, and the most important thing is having the time to do it something called property repairs is getting in the way of my modeling.
