Hello,
Which one is better Kato unitrack or Bachmann EZ track on carpeted surface? Thank you.
Mikhail
Well, I use Bachmann EZ-track on carpet for a 32" radius test oval I throw down from time to time. I like the way the big hooks connect on the underside of the track.
Having said that I have never tried Kato Unitrack anywhere - carpet, board, shelf.
Like the Iron Horseman, I have a loop and, in addition, several hundred more pieces of EZ track and 0 feet of Unitrack so I always use EZ track on my carpet. I've use the entire second floor of my house to make layouts where I can run 100 car trains. All the derailments have been on joints not fit properly, one joiner under the rail, or an occasional picked switch but usually it works just fine.
My vote goes to the Unitrack for functionality and looks.
(It's what I use)
However, Bachmann seems to have a slightly greater variety of track/switches/crossings from which to choose.
