1/87.1 Scale Traction Motors

The final component needed to build and verify production samples is due to leave our supplier within two days. This will enable us to begin shipments of the traction motors in 2 - 3 weeks time. The traction motors feature a 6V motor and can use either our new P87 or RP25 wheel sets.

With the arrival of the last component, we're able to build demonstration units, and send out samples for motor control programming.

We're working on funding brake detail components for our Blomberg/HTC trucks, we're expecting a late August/September release for our full drive system with the scale trucks.

We have received a large amount of photo-etch restock over the past few weeks and another batch of frame kits came in a month ago. Wendy and I have spent most of the week shipping orders with these items.

Four new kits arrived this week, new GMDD tread-plate revisions for DP 6102, DP 6103, DP 6104 and DP 6106. The new revision adds pilot holes for stanchions and deck details.

Next week, we're expecting additional photo-etch restock and the Spartan Cab related frets such as DP 6610 (Wipers), and DP 6605 (Doors).

Quality control efforts are also continuing with our Clean Air Room Bases, Dynamic Brake Sections, Fans, Hoods, and Trucks.

Have a great week,

Christopher Howard
