That's one of the few Demo locos I'm still trying to get my hands on.Doing a few little jobs today, including this Proto 2000 GP20 in GM-EMD demonstrator livery. Original intention when I bought this as a non runner some time ago was a conversion into an SP example but I have since decided to keep its classic demonstrator colours instead:

Not much needed doing either, the usual replacement gears, reattach the end pilot parts that had fallen off and relocate the horn to the correct place:

Of course my original SP plan is ironic considering that after their demonstration duties were over, that is where 5627 wound up!
I don't suppose an Athearn motor would fit would it ?As it turned out (after singing the praises of the Atlas S series reliability!!!) SP 1468 had a dud motor!
It would probably have to be a Switcher one but that may be worth a try.I don't suppose an Athearn motor would fit would it ?
I have two of those look so good on the layout just changes up the scene when they go by.Doing a few little jobs today, including this Proto 2000 GP20 in GM-EMD demonstrator livery.
