Aurora & Portland's GenSet got it's remote controlled antennas and strobes installed today also.

The new scheme suits the unit well:cool: The silver trucks and exhaust stacks give it some pizazz and remote control seems to be a feature growing in popularity.

Just a normal engine designed specifically to operate in a yard switching cars onto different trains. They're quicker to accelerate and decelerate, but can't move as many cars or operate for as long without maintenance. Just smaller, really.

2 questions.

1. How does that operate in real life?

2. Jerome, what kind of tread are you using on the walkways in the unpainted pic?

MU, multiple unit. Connect it to a 'normal' locomotive with 'MU' cables and commands sent to the cab unit also go to the cabless unit. B units, slug units, slave units, cabless units, calf units ... all kind of the same thing.

Operates the same as a string of cab units that have been plugged into each other with a single engineer.
