I like kit bashing and building structures. I had a 1x3 diorama base laying around and I was bored.
I have never built/modeled grain or feed mill operations, so I figured why not. We have a lot of very large feed mills near me for chickens (Foster Farms) and egg producers (Willamette Egg). This is pretty freelanced, but it is based on several different ones I have seen.
I hate Walthers instructions. I screwed up one of the wet towers beyond usable. My fault I should have searched YouTube for the "how to build" details not in the instructions.
The main structures are done. I won't do any of the piping from the elevator towers until I figure out the final configuration & placement.
I'd like to incorporate it into my current layout. It's too cramped on the diorama board. I figured I could fit everything into the footprint, but It ain't gonna happen.
I can pull out my vegetable canning operation, pull up the track, and easily fit it in the 2x3 section on the end.
Here's the main structures.
