I try to force myself to get in a bit of hobby time (trains or scale modelling) each day…it’s usually minimal 1/2 to 1 hour…but sometimes 15 minutes.
Or nothing will ever get done…

How much do you guys put in…?

I try to do something daily. Even if its to clean stuff up or just run trains. I have lacked the motivation to do any scenery work for several months but that is about to change as its coming back. There really isn't a set time per day. Sometimes its a half hour some its more.

I used to sit in the train room running trains for anywhere from four hours to eight hours on a day off. Since I retired, that time has shrunk to anywhere from two hours to five hours now.

But, like Deacon, my time is split between my firearms hobby, playing music, and amateur radio and receivers. I also like to read when I can squeeze it in.

Depends really. Sometimes I'm at the bench for hours, sometimes I'm away for a week or more. I have other hobbies besides this one, so if I get to feeling burnout, I'll go on sabbatical for a while. I'm retired so things are pretty fluid. The last few weeks, sometimes all day, sometimes a couple of hours. The project determines.

I’m similar to Espeefan’s comments. I can be at the bench for hours for days at a time time. Then be gone for a week before coming back. Ops sessions and work sessions i consider separate from workbench time. Those I generally attend weekly and those are typically 4 hours. I did though this past Friday cancel all the OPS Sessions I was signed up for until October for some lingering health reasons.

I don’t force any modeling or training running time.

Unfortunately, my main hobby is spending time on line seated at a PC. With some health issues, with enjoying hobbies on fora, and doing general comments and news/philosophy/politics/science reading. I spend the odd evening with telescopes when the Moon isn't blazing overhead or the winds and rain prevailing, as they do between October and March each year. Train time is seldom these days, but I have been out to the train room several times since the beginning of April and I've enjoyed it. Even looked for improvements and completion projects to work up and commence.
