So I sent my brother the photos I took outside and all he said was the loader was too new for the era.

Yup, the shadows are much more defined. The effect looks awesome.

Now that gray figure in that structure looks ghostly. neat!

I stopped gluing figures and accessories on dioramas because they get very expensive. So now I photo them and then remove them to use on other builds. What do you do?

I don't usually put people in my vehicles or platforms. Might start though. For vehicles, they would have to be fastened, maybe with a rubber type cement so that they can be removed. For platforms, I'm thinking keep them mobile. It all depends on scale as well. N would be difficult to keep them standing up.

For those using foam board type stuff for their base, could you have a stick pin or needle sticking out the bottom of the figure? If it's long enough, it should hold such a figure upright quite nicely.
