ModelRailroadForums.com is a free
Model Railroad Discussion Forum and
photo gallery. We cover all scales and sizes of model railroads. Online since 2002, it's one of the oldest and largest model railroad forums on the web. Whether you're a master model railroader or just getting started, you'll find something of interest here.
I have been in this wonderful hobby for thirty years now and it never grows old. I am currently building a small switching layout that is two feet deep by twelve feet long. It is a switching layout / industrial park, set in southwest Florida and the time period is late 70's early 80's. The prototype railroad that served this area at that time was the Seaboard Coast Line. I have just started on the scenery and have attached a couple of pics for your review. Comment if you wish.

Northern Pacific history enthusiast
Welcome to the forum and I like your photos. My favorite part is the weeds along the fence.
lasm
Thanks, I will keep the photos coming as I progress with the scenery and backdrop.
Very nicely done! Did Lance Mindheim's South Miami articles influence you in any way?
I like the weeds and the road, and Ken I was thinking Lance Mindheim also.
We love pictures here so post away!
Thanks.

While I admire Lance's work greatly I draw most of my inspiration from the prototype. There is nothing better than walking the tracks alone with my camera and just looking for those small details that I can add to the model.
Thanks,
I will post more pics as I continue to progress.
Welcome to the forums U18B343, think you'll enjoy it here.
I really like the weeds along the fence as well, but like the fence even more ... looks great.
Hi U18B343,
Welcome, and glad your with us here on the forums. Be sure to also scroll down the list to the ANPL Coffee Shop to chat a bit.
You can very probably add a fair amount of info for others too which is great.
Your pictures look good and show some of the detail your referring to. Your also very correct in that this hobby offers so many different avenues you never really have to look to hard to find new things/detail you can add.
See you around,
Thanks, this is a great hobby.
