This is my official build thread for my 4x6' N scale layout which is sadly in my bedroom :( . Here is the progress so far :)

I realise I did not do the best job on filling the holes in on the plaster cloth but it will be landscaped quite well.
 


Sir -

What sort of cork are you using for roadbed? In some photos it looks like typical split cork, but in other photos it looks like solid pieces.

Just curious!

Watch the s-curves

It looks as if your plan includes some places where opposing curves connect directly with no straight track between. These may prove troublesome. Good practice is to include a section of straight track as long as your longest piece of equipment between opposing curves.

S Robbins: You realize the cork is designed to be split down the middle and laid as two pieces, and as such will curve quite nicely, instead of cutting it into little square blocks?

it is for visual purposes. It won't actually be just a single piece when I go to lay it down for staying
