I have wired my Logic Rail GCP & NJ International 1095 crossing signals together. The sensor wiring is correct but the signals flash non-stop. Can someone please tell me how to correct this? Thanks!
I am not familiar with the rail logic, but if it uses optical detection, it sounds like the sensitivity needs to be adjusted. We had a system on the club layout that I was in many years ago, that used optical detectors to cause the gates to lower and the lights flash, etc. Depending on where this modular layout was set up, the sensitivity had to be adjusted on the optical sensors or the crossing lights and gates would stay flashing all the time, or the lights wouldn't work at all.
IIRC we used a system from Circuitron, and to adjust it all we had to do was turn a potentiometer on the board.
Do you have the IR or photocell version?
Start by setting it up on a desk with the detectors in view. With photocell make sure there's plenty of light. Once clear you can block the light from one of the approach detectors. The lights will flash. Then block the light from the crossing detectors in order. When unblocked the lights should clear.
