Help with multiple districts on a Wye (DCC)

HI,
I would appreciate some help on solving this issue of a reverse loop on a wye:
1) As in the attached plan I have a Wye in which one leg goes into a yard and has its own Power District
2) The outer loop has its own power district.
3) This lower deck goes to the upper thru Helix.
4) I have indicated where gaps are including reverse section gap (below helix the two gap lines
5) I am unable to get trains not stall on t small reserves loop section.

I would highly appreciate some help and insight

Vic: I will take a stab at it. Why add the 'new track' at all - you were getting into the Helix at the 12 O'clock position with train running right to left at the top of the layout. You can also reverse train direction coming in from the bottom of the layout. So to me, that new track does nothing other than breaking out a turnout ( two actually ) to make them easier to work on if needed vs in the Helix.

Also note how much you shortened the reversing section. Does a whole train fit into that? Don't just think Engines/Power, also think passenger car lighting, and metal wheel sets on anything else; any can trip an auto-reverser. A train can not span both double gaps, must be one gap, then the other. On top of that, it sure looks like there is another reversing section that you may have to deal with if you keep that turnout in the Helix. Bottom left from the RH curved turnout, thru the diamond to the entry back into the Helix.

Hi Todd,
reason for new track was so I could operate trains going up the Helix from either direction of the outer loop. In the old plan I could only go up Helix coming from the bottom and using t crossover
As for the reversing section length my longest loco fits and as all my rolling stock has non Metallic wheels it is my understanding that it has to be longer than my longest loco
'turnout in the Helix' this has been taken out

Vic: Had a look at your site. Like the 'New Layout' without your new track modifications even though there is a hidden turnout. From the pix it looks like there is room to get to that hidden turnout for simple maintenance. And that plan does allow you to enter the Helix from both directions. Keep in mind there is also a reversing section coming from the lower track to the Helix.

As to the reversing section that is not working - it is wired the same as the Upper Level reversing section ( in almost the same place vertically )? Both ends have gaps cut completely through both rails? Can you swap the 2 reverser's easily to test? If so, and they test ok, probably is something simple that you are missing.

Do the trains stall because they short or just loose power?

Stall and then pick up power so it looks like reverse unit does not work not sure why I have used 2 units to test but it is the same for both. The auto reverse units are both PSX-AR
