I am new to the group but, have dabbled in model trains for over 20 years....started several layouts but haven't progressed very far. I am retired military and a retired pipeline tech (27 years). I still consider myself a "newbie". I have a 10'x16' outbuilding for my trains. It is well insulated and I have a portable A/C for summer and electric space heater for winter climate control. They both work great. I wish the building could have been bigger. But, I am not complaining. I am thankful. I love to fish for crappie and I own golf clubs....I live in Southern Indiana and, as far as I know, I am not close to any clubs

Thanks for the "warm welcome"......I love the hobby but, I am geographically dislocated.....the only interaction I have with other modelers is on line.....

Welcome! I’d think you could build a nice around-the-wall railroad in a 10 x 16 space.
