Hello!
After nearly 20 years of being in the hobby, I finally decided to join an official forum. My name is Robby and I model in HO scale. I mainly model 1990's to Modern Union Pacific freight and excursions with an exception for 1940-1969 passenger and name trains. I do not have a layout as I travel for work every 2-3 years and have been all across the country at this point, but have been interested in getting into Free-Mo due to it's modular and ease of setup/ tear down and storage. I grew up mostly in Southern California between the Tehachapi Loop and Cajon pass so those would be my areas I'm mainly interested in modeling when I finally get something started. There's a few projects I also have planned such as a modern military equipment train, A MOW/ track cleaner train, painting of 2 SD70's to match my 2002 Olympic torch relay train, and 1947 Freedom train. With my main one currently being the 1975 American Freedom Train as I finally got all the cars needed along with decals and accessories to do the full 27 cars. I'd love to get some insight ya'll may have and hope I can help with what little knowledge I may have.
For now, I'll leave a pic of my Santa Fe 1955 San Francisco Chief running at one of my old clubs layout, Olympic Model Railroad Society (OMRS) in Lacey, Washington.
