Need to see if I can use some N scale in place of Z scale. In inches what is the z scale height of a 6 foot person, a tall pine tree, and telephone poles. this will be a lot of help to see if N scale items are too large to use.

Not sure of the measurements but I think z is roughly half of n?
I’d think it would be like using n with ho, or ho with o.
If the smaller scale were to the back it might look not too bad and would give a distant look.

A 6 ft person in N scale is 72/160=.45 in or 7/16 in. A 6 ft person in Z scale is 72/220= .33 in or 5/16 in.

Up close that would be a pretty big difference. A Z scale person next to an N scale building would look like a child, and an N scale person next to a Z scale building would be taller than a door.
