Has anyone ever seen roofing felt as a roadbed sound deadner? Thanks for any input.
Welcome to the group Nick!
I personally have not used it. I would think it could be a little messy. Every time you lean or touch it you might get tar on you. Might give off a smell as well, but not sure.

Not roofing felt BUT, I bought a roll of 1/8th High Density Foam that I adhered to the sub road bed (Ply) before laying the cork roadbed and track and that deadened the sound considerably. Not too costly either.
Felt sounds like it would be worth a try. Maybe visit a construction site and pick up a few scrap pieces and assemble a small oval.

Thanks to all for your info, I have seen it done before but wondered how it compared to homesote.
