[H0] A layout inspired from an old Atlas H0 layout

Hello Happy Members !
I started to build a layout inspired from an old Atlas 4x8 HO Scale DC Layout. At the moment it's only a big mockup. I'll do better very soon. When the Spousal Unit saw it I said first: "Too late honey, I built it !"
All your comments, advices and criticisms are welcome. You can also laugh if you want !

And now, my own version ( 3'2" x 7' 6"). I usual, I used my favorite brand of track: Trix C track.

I'd be really REALLY tempted to buy another couple of turnouts just to do what was suggested - think it would complete it and give you one more option

I changed my mind in the middle of the night. I'm very pleased with this plan. And I have all the wood and the track needed.

I can't do that because the layout isn't always at the same place in my garage. I put a coat of brown paint on my new/old benchwork. Mainly to hide all the misery if you see what I mean.

I can see a backdrop to separate the layout into two areas. Perhaps at an angle to give a sense of going to some other far away location. You could also do it visually using a couple of larger structures hiding the crossover so the trains sort of disappear between the buildings.

That looks like Märklin/Trix C track? If you do plan to run US prototype locomotives, I would strongly suggest you don't go below R3

I think Christian uses EZ track, but just wait for the dinosaurs.

I used Trix C track (made in Germany), Peco or Hornby. Dinos are ready to run again !
