Daniel Jaffke was an aspiring vocalist and musician, and a damn good one. He was delivering Pizza's for Papa John's when he was gunned down while being robbed. He was also working as a CNC operator at C&R Racing in Indianapolis Indiana. He was one of the nicest people I have ever met. And even though I only knew him for a short time, I sit here in tears after hearing about his loss. You will be missed dearly Daniel.
Everyone, please pray for Daniel's family. And pray those responsible are brought to justice.
Being a retired design engineer, I have long held lots of respect for the ingenuity of machinists. They rarely get the proper credit for their skills. It takes insight that most people will never have. It's really a loss not only to his family and friends but all of us who respect productive people with multiple skills. Sorry for your loss.
I'm sorry to hear of this. No words can change what happened. There is a small comfort in knowing your friends here on the forum share in your thoughts and prayers. It is truly a sad state of affairs when someone is working 2 jobs to achieve a goal and has it destroyed by a scumbag.
Here is Daniel Jaffke on stage doing what he loved...
I am still in shock. Daniel wanted for nothing of his friends. Only that they were happy. Truly. He was a kind soul. I have found myself in tears today just thinking about him and the times we laughed and joked around at work. God took one of his soldiers home today. Thank you Daniel for being a part of my life. I am gonna miss you bro.
And to those of you on the forum here, thank you so much for your kind words. This forum has some truely wonderful people hanging out here. It helps to have a bit of a release.
I am very sorry for the loss of your friend Kevin. May God comfort you and ease your sorrow through this most difficult time. I also pray that the low life responsible for his death will meet swift justice.
To show how much Daniel was loved, they have raised $7000 so far in just a couple days. There are a couple businesses Daniel played at holding benefits to raise more money for the memorial and funeral. The family is spread all over the country and I am not sure what their financial situation is but at least the community and his friends are doing a good job helping out. So in all the bad in the world it helps to know that there is a lot more good.
So far they haven't had any news of any suspects. They now are saying they didn't take his wallet. They just stole his car. But they drove it a few minutes from the scene and ditched it. So it doesn't make any sense. I myself am wondering if it wasn't someone he knew. And I think they are thinking the same thing. But nobody is saying anything except his sister on his Facebook page.
I am so sorry for the loss of Daniel. It is senseless and tragic. One day, both in this life and the next, those responsible will have to answer for it.
At least someone is listening. The story about Daniel has been on CBS national news and Fox national news. The family is trying to get Papa Johns to help pay for the funeral.

It seems like it would be obvious that Papa Johns should help out!!! Lets be honest, he was doing their work and the killers knew he had some money because of the fact that he was a delivery driver. It's a shame. And it saddens me that Papa Johns wouldn't just step up and do the right thing here. That almost makes me more sick that all the of the evil in the world. Not only does that evil exist, but those in a position to help seem to need a cheerleader to get them to take any action.
Keep us updated please.
I'm terribly sorry for the loss of this young man.
