I'm sure they stop her more on the sunny warm days and less on the rainy days but being a blond I don't think she even noticed that before.

Jim - I really like your details with the mailboxes and all.

Thanks, Dave. I won't even go to the blonde joke. :)

Harp, I think it matters a lot, at least for roads and sidewalks. Concrete color does vary some around the country but not much. Concrete roads tend to have a very similar base color. What really matters is the weathering, since that sets roadways apart in terms of their age and use.

yeah, I was being brave at the time but it fun to be so silly now and again. Any blonds out there please understand I'm just being silly.

Has anyone used Floquil/Polly Scale Concrete? I'd like to see some pictures showing this color.

Is Floquil/Polly Scale Concrete a warm color? Does it look more gray or lean towards tan? Is there any hint of green in the color?

I have used both the Floquil and Polly Scale Concrete. I'll need to look at it tomorrow to give a better impression to answer your questions.
I did think it look ok for concrete but it does vary depending on the base its covering.

The "concrete" pad here is anchor cement, weathered with an alcohol/ink wash. The other concrete is styrene, painted with Floquil aged concrete, weathered with black tempera paint. DJ.

Seriously now, you need to get someone out there with a sand blaster to clean that place up.

;)

I've been looking for a good formula for concrete too. I've been using Folk Art Barnwood and thin washes of other colors. It looks ok, but I'm not 100% happy with the look.
