I got a Genesis Big Boy today kind of on a whim and I'm not familiar with this particular Locomotive. Does anyone have any experience with it? I was planning on getting the Blueline Big Boy but they said that Genesis is better. I really like the Blueline PRR M1a that I got last week. It's a nice little unit.

Who is "they"? The blue line people. I don't have the big boy but I have a challenger. I don't know how good it is because it won't run. This is due to the junky electronics Athearn puts in it. Mechanically it seems to be a fine piece of machinery.

I have an HO Scale Athearn Genesis Challenger, which is similar to your train, and it runs and sounds great. Every time I "fire it up", the kids in the neighborhood come runnin'
