Greetings from Poland. I'm on a vacation, but it's coming to an end. I did go to Jaworzyna Śląska to a railroad museum there.

The machine on the left with the smoke detectors, is the famous "Kriegslokomotive", German class BR52 in Polish look as class Ty2. Close to 7 thousand of these were produced from about 1942-1946 for the war effort by the German government. Why up to 1946?, because after the retreating German army was driven out of Poland by the Red army, parts for a number of "Kriegsloks" were left over in captured factories in southern Poland. About 150 more "Kriegsloks" were then built from those parts to add to over a thousand BR52s as war reparations. So the BR52 (Polish Ty2/Ty42) would serve my country until about 1992, when steam traction was officially shut down in normal service. On the right is a Polish built prewar Ty23.
