I want to build a modern warhouse with metal/corrugated walls but a flat roof in HO.

I want it to be about 175 scale feet long x 60 scale feet wide.

The flat roof is going to present a problem. How can I prevent it from sagging in the middle, short of making a bunch of tiny columns to hold it up?

Thanks for any ideas.

'flat' roofs are not truly flat. All roofs should have at least some slope to direct rain water to drains and off the roof. Your options to prevent that sagging will be much like the prototype. You can add interior columns or what amount to be trusses.

Use 1 or 2 pieces of Plastruct I beam on the underside to work like a keel in a boat. Cement it with Plastruct plastic weld if the roof is styrene or with thick ca if using corrugated metal roof. Rough up the surface the cement will go on with #320 or 400 sandpaper.
