You seam to be pretty capable with this project but I have a couple of attic related comments, stuff you haven't mentioned nor did I notice in the pictures...

Most house attics "breath" quite a bit and are far from being as air tight as the rest of the house. This is actually something of a problem with newer houses, which with current door and window standards can be nearly airtight. The vents in your attic allow heat/cold to escape the house, some airflow through, and by this, venting of exhaust gases or fumes.

Adding that new room could cause you some side effects. Make sure your attic still has adequate ventilation and that any exhausts (like from your bathroom fans) are piped and vented out the roof.

Ahh, wise move Grasshopper... doing wife's room first is very good idea!
As said before... lookin' good!

Hey..!! Great to see you're putting together your "Man" room...From the pictures of the wife's room I see that lighting might be a problem in "your" room. You might want to put in several fluorescent fixtures. It's surprising how what seems to be OK in a room, is very inadequate for "our" purposes....

Thanks for the concern. Ventilation is all taken care off. I installed baffles that allow air to circulate from the spaces behind the knee walls up between the insulation and the roofing, out through the ridge vent. All the bathroom fans are vented out through the soffits with one way flap vents.

Yes, whil my room has the same basic eyeball lights, I also intend on flourescent fixtures suspended above the layout, concealed by masonite or styrene valances.
