I am new to Model railroading. I recently purchased a Ho 4x8 layout with ez-track and a Bachmann Trains Power Pack with Speed Controller. I tried my engine out on the track and it will only travel on the piece of track that the power connects directly to. I have 2 pieces of track that were still in the package that the train runs on fine....... but all 50 used pieces of track that were actually used in the old layout will not work? Ive tried to switch them out and rearrange them but the engine just shut down as soon as it rolls over them?????? please help!!!!!
You might try wiping the rails down with rubbing alcohol. I'm guessing it's dirty track.
make sure each piece of track has a little brass metal connector that contact the next rail. the rail joiner then to fall off the track sometime
thanks!!!! alcohol worked like a charm!!!! Thank you so much for taking the time out to help.
