Wow, right now I'm selling a 1/1 scale Plymouth diesel loco for only $2500!
Maybe I should rethink this..... LOL

Anyone check the price of a new run brass HO diesel lately? Sit down if you are checking new run HO brass steam prices!

It's not 027.The minimum radius is 072 that's 6'.At $1,100.00 that is a great price for that unit if your a Lionel Hi-rail collector.

You think $1100 is expensive. One of our modelers here does O-scale 2 rail, in Brass!

He thinks nothing of spending $4 grand on a loco, another $500 to get it regeared/remotored, and then another $500-$1000 getting it painted.

Carey, give me the guy's name!!!! I'll paint those locos cheaper and give him a better paint job than he's ever seen. I'll add pinstriping and flames if'n he wants them!!! Hand rubbed lacquer with 10 coats of clear if he wants!!!!

I had a car restoration and 'hot rod shop' for 30+ years. Some of the paint jobs on those cars were to die for.

My question is how does that train go through tunnels with the tender on top? Maybe it will be used only on flat tracks. :D

Reid in NC

Reid, that is a special design. The tender drops down when approaching a tunnel. Really not necessary when going though TALL tunnels, obviously .

The reason for its placement above is to relieve the fireman from most of the backbreaking chore of shoveling coal.....there is a chute in the bottom of the tender.
