In planing a fictional road based on the real did the erie and lackawanna ever have any ties or traffic in michigan? If so ( or not)was there any freight between any roads there. Thanks.
The DLW operated in only New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York. The Erie and the DLW did interchange traffic but never in Michigan. OTOH, if you're road is fictional, you can do whatever you want. My railroad interchanges traffic between the Union Pacific and Nickel Plate. Can't get much further away from being prototypical than that.
