Are these decoder/motor units still being produced? I can't seem to find them anywhere.

I wish to put together a small, very temporary Unitrack layout on a table at work, using the new DCC system I am buying for home use. It would be neat if I could throw a switch remotely with my DCC throttle.

If these decoder/motor units are not available, I would need to buy a stationary decoder and have to start soldering wires to the track and switch machine, right? (I'm new to this stuff)

Thanks

Jim, you would not necessarily have to solder them together. What a lot of people are doing, esp if uncomfortable with soldering, is they will use what's called barrier strips, or in the old terminology, terminal strips.

Below is a picture. All you have to do is connect a wire to a screw, and attach the mate to the other side. No soldering involved at all!
