Guys,
This shows where we are at with the drive. Once we get the traction motor heat sinks we're able to start function testing with motor control but everything so far works.
Here are some assembled traction motor images. The heat sink is the only missing component. Its due to ship from our supplier by Friday.
This image shows the final truck assembly for our HTC. The image is missing the brake line but these will be formed from CNC machined wire, otherwise everything is here. Just for fun, this is the triple clasp option. We're doing a number of variations in the kit.
The green areas are what is not tooled yet. We need to fund four moulds to finish the trucks. It is CRITICAL that we get your support now as we can wrap everything up this summer, including our hood items and trucks.
This is the result of our design work. These are all T1 samples. There are corrections in progress but you can see we did have to modify some items to make a working drive but the drive is vast improvement as its P87 compliant and scale. This is the HTC truck. Each axle is powered and floating.
The HTC under our frame kit. Please note we have the entire hood at the same stage as the truck including our new fans and stanchions. The cool thing here is we have a scale frame, the truck spacing is correct and its all modular.
Here is our Blomberg B/M truck. We have this tooled too.
This is the final 3D CAD design, minus the brake line.
Here is what we need to fund to finish in green.
This image shows the Blomberg T1 samples. Missing is the traction motor heat sink which will enable the traction motor to connect to the truck.
Totally wrong frame but this gives you an idea of what the truck looks like under a kit.
So that's our progress on the drive. With the hood items we have at the same stage, we're over 90% complete for the first full kits.
With your support now, we are able to get the truck details completed ASAP and also start new areas of the locomotive such as additional details and Spartan Cabs.
Our testing shows the drive works exceptionally well. The final hurdle is the details and motor control PCB.
This is modular kit that enables you to match the prototype of your choice with assemblies drafted from field measurements.
Also keep in mind that these are initial test samples, we're working with the suppliers to improve detail and appearance.
The side-frames and traction motors will be completed in July.
We're aiming for additional items by September.
All the best,
