Does anyone know if the bachmann thomas and friends line wagons will the work with regular hornby locomotives. I've been finding it difficult to find oo scl freight here in the us.

It should work unless something has been changed in the designs. I've never had any issues running those two brands together.

Technically Hornby is OO scale not HO, but they both run on HO track, and the hooks appear to be the same. I've watched a few videos (yes even I watched a video) that looks like Bachmann cars and Hornby being commingled. So if you don't mind the size difference I think it would work. Google does too.
