tryin to replace a bulb thats about to go out, but i didnt buy this engine new so i dont have the box or paperwork for it and i cant find a way to take out the bulb
I think there are two styles of ditchlights, one with a round housing and one with a square housing. The square housings bulbs pull out from the bottom of the anticlimber. The round ones are one piece and you'd have to order a replacement from Athearn. I don't have this engine, so I'm going from memory. Hopefully someone with the engine and paperwork can give you more help.
The square type simply has housings mounted to the deck and the bulbs slip out from underneath.
With the round type, the housing is clear, and is part of the bulb itself, and the whole thing needs to be replaced. (Athearn paints the outside of the housing to make it look like an actual housing)
