Hi, I'm new to model railroads but learning. I am setting up a 3X5 DCC N Scale layout using an ESU Ecos Control Center and Kato Unitrak. It will have 6 Turnouts and 1 double crossover.
I was looking at the Digitrax DS74 but my local model railway shop recommended the Decoderwerk 30802 (German co.) as it can handle up to 8 turnouts/crossover vs only 4 on the DS74. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this particular decoder and if there were any issues with the double crossover as I read it may cause power issues with DCC power supply. There's not a lot of info on the net for this decoder and what's there is mostly in German (not my native tongue).
Thanks in advance for any feedback.
