hey guys, i recently bought a couple warehouse kits from rix. how can i make a clean cut thru the plastic? i tried with a hobby knife n it takes forever. tried with a dremel grinder, cuts thru but melts the plastic and make a rough edge. how do u guys do it? nothing too expensive please
Get a utility knife with new blades and a steel straight edge. About three cuts and you should be able to snap the plastic right off. Xacto knives work fine on thinner plastic but you need a heavier duty blade on the thicker plastic walls of Rix kits.

where can i get those knives?
Hardware store, Holmes Depot, Lowes, etc etc

+ they have this special scoring blade for those. makes even better groove, at a times (when the sheet is thin enough) one pass is all it takes.
A plexiglas cutting tool should do the job. Very sharp. Score the plastic several times and it should snap off.

A box cutter is real easy to use w/a sharp blade.
