Have a lionel 5122 switch I'm trying to activate and just cant seem to get the right combination of which wire goes on which terminal.
Using a single lever controller and the flat three wire connection.
No matter which wire I put where I can't get the switch to work.
Can anyone please tell me what the proper sequence is....
I'm sure someone can, but you needn't yell at us..........

Sorry about that Flyboy but DIs usually speak up a bit to be heard!!
If you are running your switch off of track power be sure the throttle is up high enough when you throw the switch. I believe those switches need at least 8-10 volts to operate.
Good to see another Lionel train person.

First, as Bruette says have you tested the power supply to know it is producing a sufficient supply?
Second, have you tested the switch without the controller to know that it is working properly? That will eliminate another variable.
Third, one of the wires from the controller should have a "trace" on it. The trace is usually a painted stripe running the distance. The trace wire is the "common" and should go to the terminal on the switch track closest to the switch motor. I believe it also has a shiny square base.
