Good Morning--

Tom I prefer things to simply go poof and not be making screeches and all kindsa stuff. Boy, that is typical ---just pay one thing off and something else says--"hey! it's my turn!"

I'm off today so I'm going to get some last minute stuff done and then I'll be ready---provisionally speaking--for tomorrows work and the start of evening classes---;)

Have a good day ----:):)

Cool pics Barry, but, wazzat??

Karl THAT---is supposed to be the VIA rail passenger shelter in Strathroy ON---and I frankly do not know when this thing got put up and why this form--there was a station there before but----???:confused:

Barry,,, Ohhhhh, I see,,,,,I think!
Kinda looks like some art Deco thingy collided with part of a rail car!
and that gold thing on the platform.....I'm sure its a trash can,,,but it looks like some kinda aerodynamic toilet to my eye!! LOLOL! :D

Hey look!!!! It's me!!!

Hey! Did you guys miss me? Probably not I’m sure.:D

Flo; Give everyone their favorite beverage and put it on my tab!

Well, it’s been awhile since I’ve actually logged in, I have stopped by once in awhile to see what was going on but did not spend much time hanging around. Just popped in to see how everyone was doing from time to time.

I have been so busy! No time for hardly anything but work, studying and helping my kids move out. Then on top of that stuff I had the usual yard work and general around the house stuff to keep up on.

I am glad you all are doing okay, you all have been in my thoughts with the problems that have come and gone from Phil’s daughter car wreck to Chris finally getting the boot at work and then Jeffery’s foot operation. Really was sorry to read those things and not really be able to take the time to comment. I hope all is working out for the best in all cases.

Things are starting to slow down around here. I should be back to become a regular around the coffee shop soon (if that’s okay with you guys).

I got my basement almost straightened around so I have some space for a nice layout which I will be starting later this month or early next month. Really looking forward to getting started, still haven’t decided on a DCC system yet, but will sooner or later.

Well I guess that is it for now, I will stop by later and see what is going on…

So first day wasn't so bad. But man, jobs are like work.

Jim: I am trying to take it easy on the ankle. Part of it is that I probably don't keep my shoes tight enough. I should have learned from wrestling. We had a guy who didn't tie his wrestling shoes all the way in practice and ended up shattering his ankle.

Tony: Glad to see you are doing okay! Stop in more often.

Good morning folks

It was 67 F as I rolled out of the driveway. High will be 83 F.

Last night my son had his first Boy Scout Troop meeting. He had fun getting back together with the other scouts. He is excited about their upcoming camping trip to Gettysburg at the end of the month. Yesterday was also the first day of real homework for my son. It took him a while and with some help from his sister he got through it. From what I remember with my daughter the first month of middle school is a big adjustment.

My wife ordered a new TV last night. We will be picking it up at Sears after my daughter’s flute lesson tonight.

No modeling last night and it does not look good for tonight.

I hope everybody has a good day.

HELLO--HELlo--hello---hello----sheeesh. Nice echo in here--

Hello in here--

Today is gonna be a dull day for us again--the weatherguessers keep saying a MIX of sun/cloud but all we see is the cloud part.

Got some work for this afternoon then it will be the university for the evening classes---busy day around here---

Have a good one!;):):)

Mornin' guys! How's everyone doing this morning?:D

I actually have a day off today. My son and I are going to go try to find a nice spot for a tree stand since bow season is fast approaching. Should be a lot of fun tromping through the woods today.

After that I have to help him with a few things over at his new house and then maybe take it easy the rest of the day. Might be able to slip in a late ride on the motorcycle if I'm lucky.

So what's going on with you guys today???:D

Hey Tom; Man, I sure remember the scouting days with my son. It was a lot of fun! We really had some great camping trips. Now days I am not much on camping, think I rode that horse into the ground back then. Now my idea of roughing it is a hotel without free internet:D:D:D

Good morning.

It's 72 and cloudy. The high will be around 86 and there's a chance of rain.

Yesterday was a lot wetter than I thought it would be. Excellent weather if you're a duck. I'm more like a cat and don't like getting wet. Today is shaping up to be another lousy day. Moved a couple of things around in the trailer and rearranged a few structures on the layout. Eventually I'll come up with an arrangement I like. This afternoon I go to see the foot doc again. I think the foot is doing pretty well but I can't see all of it. I also made a critical modification in the heat sink I use while soldering rails together. It's designed to clip onto whatever is being soldered but I doubt the maker knew that material would be model railroad track. Many times it would just pop off. So I used my Dremel with a diamond cut-off disk to cut two small grooves (one in each of the clips jaws). Now I can just clip it onto the rail and it will stay there until I take it off. At a price of less than $2 I'm thinking about getting another one so I can have a heat sink on either side of the solcer area.

Today's Weather for:

Jeffery- After reading all the warnings you got about your foot, I don't think there is any need for you to take a wife. You get nagged plenty on the forum.:D
Phillip- What size and model bike are you riding? I think you posted a picture when you got it, but Alzheimer's is sneaking up on me.

Every time Rex has a birthday, I have to keep breathing to stay ahead of him.

Well, back to that four letter word, WORK!

:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p

One for each year you are older than me!!!:D

Why Karl, you are just a puppy!:rolleyes::D

Just got back from the courthouse. After 1 ½ days of sitting in court listening to testimony, the case was turned over to the jury. Guess what: I turned out to be the alternate juror and was put on standby. I did get to come home and wait by the phone, in case I will be needed (Crap!). Regardless, I have to go in again tomorrow morning and see if I will be picked for another trial. (The other members of the jury will also have to be back, so they didn’t get out of anything either. LOL)

..........Just got interrupted by Cell Phone: They called to tell me that the jury I was on came to a verdict and I am released until 9am in the morning. BTW: it was a criminal case of Robbery 3d degree, and Harassment; two very picky laws. All trials this week are criminal cases. Lot's of fun: Just can't wait. :D

Phillip- What size and model bike are you riding? I think you posted a picture when you got it, but Alzheimer's is sneaking up on me.

It's a 2001 Kawasaki Drifter 1500. I've got to get some new pics, but here's one or two from the spring (Man! A lot has changed since then!)

My father always says that three things happen as you get older. The first is, you lose your memory. He can't remember the rest............:D

Very Angry Toy.......I need to borrow that! ..........Lay me off, humfffff they do........

Well, I got the stories with this layoff, man the whole thing is such a mess. With the blame game on who's to blame for the mess, Messed up score cards, and my favorite the pet employees that had their accident's hidden from the Matrix's eyes at the time of scoring. Me with a total of thirteen years of service scored a 4 points then subtract -3 points for my accident in 06 which left me with a total of 1 point! I'm the top of the other 8 PA II's layed off. If that accident would of happend in 04 it would have effected me! Now here's the kick in the pants A person of 2 years with no accidents passed me up with 3 points...........ain't that the S@#$'s, and we make the same Hourly $$ wise! I'm thinking of going to a Employment Lawer just to see if they can do this? Florida is a right to work state? Any way I'm still employeed until Oct 9th. I'm going to continue the good fight, what the heck do I got to lose??????

Chris! Shame on you for thinking you should go after your former employer with that! What you need is a self propelled 120 mm howitzer with laser sighting!

Well, my son and I did get the tree stand put up today. Real nice day to go messin around in the woods. Bow season is about two weeks out, but I might have to miss the first couple of days. Work may take me to Duluth MN for about three days.

Phillip; Mighty nice looking ride you got there!

Rex; That is one mean toy! Hope your grandson stays safe over there...

Well, I think I will poke around the board a bit and see what else is going on, talk to you guys later...:D

Tony, good to C ya! Flo, bring him a beer would you please

Rex - sure hope your grandson has some heavy-duty ear protection to wear around that "toy"

Chris - I don't quite understand the lingo of the 'points' or whatever you were talking about, but I hope a labor lawyer can help you out - without you having to pay anything up front.

Jim I was looking at the Weather Channel radar map and I saw a big splotch of orange creeping northward toward Montgomery. Maybe you'll get some o' that wet stuff for a change...

I'm still in the process of getting my layout ready for PrimeTime, e.g., the next operating session. I keep finding all these @#$%^ cobwebs on my fragile structures, they're a real bear to clean off without breaking something. I'm also trying to figure out an economical way to install some throttle pockets around the layout, for when the operators need to shuffle their carcards/waybills or jot down instructions.
