  • Call from a magicJack to a magicJack in any country and the call is free.

I got one too, works great!

So it uses you internet service as a carrier line? Worth looking into for a land line.

Bob
Yeah. It plugs into a powered USB port. There's no extra equipment required as it uses your existing broadband internet connection. Just plug it into a USB port then plug ANY corded phone into the MagicJack. That's all there is to it. You can get them through special TV ad offers, Radio Shack, Wal-Mart, Walgreen's, etc. I got mine off QVC. The cost for the device and first year of service is $39.95 then $19.95 a year thereafter or you can get 5 years of service for about $60. Any calls that come in while you're offline are stored in voicemail which you can access from ANY phone. The voicemails are also sent to an email address you provide and can be played back as WMV files on Media Player.

Good morning.

It's 78 and cloudy. The high will be around 93 and there's a chance of rain.

Well yesterday was dominated by changing the starter out on the car but I did at least get a chance to look at the layout as I came in to get cleaned up afterwards. The wolf spider that resides in the Sundown car barn was on the prowl and was checking out one of the new police cars. That would have made for a great photo but no way was I going to pick up my camera with all that dirt and grease on my hands. Maybe someday a better opportunity will present itself. Let's just say the local cops had a 20 foot spider on their hands and were going to let it do anything it wanted. I also paid up my MagicJack phone service last night ($19.95) so I can enjoy another year of free local and long distance calls in the US and Canada. Sure beats paying out scads of money I don't have to have a line put in then pay service fees every month. If the weather cooperates and the rain holds off I'll probably be mowing my sisters yard today.

Good Midmorning:)

We got another 40%er charging through with some more rain for our viewing pleasure. It is a rather gummy 23C going to a high of 26C then to a low, under clearing skies of 12C. Tomorrow we'll have another 50% chance day of showers and those t'underin'boomers. BTW, this'll be what we'll see for this week, and apparently next week, as well.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I'm going to my trainroom to do some weathering today---got some hoppers to do---heeheehee:):)

Good afternoon,

It's really hot out and it's sunny. I like nice days. Today I got my bicycle's inner tube replaced. My complex seems to have a never ending roofing project, so flat tires are definitely more than likely to occur. Also, for riding at night I got new lights. I don't like reflectors, they are not that reliable.

Any of you guys signed up with NetFlixs? We are thinking about it since we hate most regular TV and rent movies. They also include free with a subscription direct movies to your TV using an Internet wireless device (you buy $99. I already have a wireless hub). The package of renting three movies at once is ~$16 a month and since we rent two or three per week at $4.99 each, well.......

Still getting a few showers today. It sure has been great seeing everything turn back to a healthy green. Thanks BOC, the BAMA Gang appreciate it.

Speaking of Bama, our Bama Boys (Golden Retrievers) weighed-in at 97lbs (Ralph "Cramdon") and 79lbs (Archie "Bunker"). Nope, the Doc says their not overweight...just big dogs!

Karl: I's fix'un to go check out those Hudsons. Let'cha know soon.

Got my sisters yard mowed and enjoyed a couple of fresh pears while I was at it. She has 3 pear trees and 2 peach trees growing wild in her yard. The pears are very good this year! So I cut the grass and gorged myself on sweets. I also replaced 4 solar lights along my parent's front walkway and the 2 remaining old ones that still worked down closer to the house. I know that sounds easy but it's really not as the lower half of their front yard has 4 inches of packed gravel under it. I got the grass done just in time. As I look outside the old song 'Raindrops keep falling on my head' comes to mind.

I washed and put two coats of wax on the truck and Car.......Then it rained:rolleyes: O'well they were clean fer a total of 3 min.:o Then I cooked dinner(my turn)and I made Tacos! Mmmmmmmmmm:p now fer a little nap:)

I had tacos fer lunch at Hardee's red burrito. not the best but quick and cheap while I was on my way to start the deck building. Now I is a belching dem darned things along wid de heartburn that came with em. Oh they was pretty good goin down with a healthy dose of salsa on em. I probabally been better off with Chris's tacos

Rex: We have netflix here, and I have a few friends with it. It is really nice if you rent a lot. Nice thing is you can stream them on your computer over the internet, or use their expensive device.
