Good morning. It's 78 and cloudy. The high today will be 94 and there's a 40% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms.

Not much planned for today. I hope to get some rest today. But I know that old man Murphy will pop up somewhere.

Good morning. Flo, I'll have a ham and cheese omelet, biscuits and gravy, and a mug of coffee.
For some reason, I'm a little stiff and sore this morning, I hope it will loosen up, if not, I'll head over to the ER.
Speaking of ER, has anybody seen or spoken with Jim? He's been out a while now.
My nephew and his wife are bringing my 6 week old great nephew up to visit today, it should be fun.
Looks like one of the casualties of last night's misadventure is my spare laptop, it hit the dashboard and floor in a big way, and now won't power up. Sigh. I have an appointment with the insurance adjuster Monday morning, I'll just take it along with me and see if he can add it into the claim. Probably not, but you never know unless you try. I wonder how the woman that hit me liked her overnight stay in the clink?

Anything in the car that was damaged that is not part of the car goes on your home owners' insurance (at least in PA). A friend of mine had golf clubs and a laptop stolen out of his car along with the car stereo. The car insurance fixed the car and the home owners' replaced the clubs and laptop.

Car insurance (comprehensive) pays to fix or replace anything that was attached to the car, as in secured to it with screws, nuts and bolts, etc. I had a fire dept radio replaced that way as well as a scanner and a phone.

Fire dept emergency responder and Safety Officer. The car was registered as a privately owned emergency vehicle. I had the fire dept plate from it transferred to my van which is also registered as a privately owned emergency vehicle. Virtually any vehicle I drive to an emergency scene is considered to be an emergency vehicle as long as I'm in possession of it for that instance.

The way my policy is worded, they will pay for personal items lost or damaged as the result of an accident, up to $250, as long as I am in the car when damaged. I think. I'm sure everybody knows things like insurance policies are written with as much legalese as possible, to be as vague and confusing as possible.

You have to delve into the fine print and sometimes read between the lines. Getting together with your agent (if you have one) to discuss your coverage would be a good idea. I insist on doing business with a local agent who I know. I've been using the same one since 1983. He doesn't try to sham me around. I've never had a claim turned away. People who buy these super low priced car insurance policies over the phone or the internet may not be getting what they think their getting. I sold car insurance for 3 years and I can tell you there are a lot of things they can drop out (things you need) to make the price look really good. Taking the policy to a lawyer to examine won't do much good. If he's not a licensed agent there's not much he can say about it. Anybody who handles the policy paperwork (less the policyholder) is supposed to be legally licensed agent. Over the years I've seen policies that really scare me. One of my neighbors thought he was getting a really good deal until he found that the company had tacked on ridiculously high deductibles, dropped the uninsured motorist coverage, the rental car coverage and roadside assistance. They had also dropped the liability limits to a level that shouldn't even be legal. Sadly he didn't know about this until he had to put through a claim and the company wouldn't honor it. Needless to say he was a very unhappy camper. He now does business with the same company I do and feels he's being treated very well even though he's paying more.

Good morning. It's 73 and mostly cloudy. The high will be 93 and it will be mostly sunny, not to mention humid.

I probably won't be around much today. I have to take my mother to a doctors appointment this morning. After that I have to take her to the bank then shopping. What is it about women and 'shopping'? Seems almost like an obsessive/compulsive disorder. They have to go then when they get there they don't know what they want which brings on a lot of looking around at things they wouldn't be caught dead in then when they get back home they wonder why they went shopping then they can't wait to do it again.

I can't explain that Jeffrey. I doubt any male can. :D

As an example. Went to Lowes yesterday. We walked in, got a cart. Got light bulbs for the pot lights over the woodstove, looked at some laminate flooring, then walked over to lumber to get some boards to replace the deck railing and replace the wood on our metal framed picinic table. I grabbed one of the big wood carts for the wood and heard her mumble something about curtain rods. The poof, she was gone. I loaded up a half dozen treated 2x4's and some 2x10x8's and some steel corner braces and started back to the front of the store. Pushing the cart with her purse and the light bulbs, while dragging the cart with the lumber and braces. Past the aisle with the curtains, up to the paint department. (I was also wanting to get paint for the basement) After about 10 minutes I wound up seated on top of the lumber cart! Finally she comes down the main aisle of the store from the lawn & garden area!! I asked her if she had gotten lost since she was on the wrong end of the store for curtain rods, no, she said she had been looking for me!!! How could you miss a 6'2 inch man seated on top of a tall cart of lumber in the main aisle of the store??:eek::eek: I was so whizzed at this point that all I wanted to do was get the heck outta there, so we paid & left. I guess I'll go back later for the paint............alone!

Oh, and later she went out to the grocery store for a roast for dinner (it's 10 minutes away) She returned 2 hours later with the roast, some paper towels and toilet paper. When I asked if she had to kill the cow to get the roast, all I got was a cold stare.

Shopping with the wife...........the ultimate time waster!!

Happy Birthday Rex!!!!

I could tell you the stories when I use to go shoping with the wife......But I won't:rolleyes:. Needless to say I use to work in a clothing store doing maintenance....I asked why were the clothing racks circular....Answer, "the woman runs around and round the racks looking for a sale item in turn making them dizzy thus they spend more!:p

Honestly, I think woman shop with the same reason we like to hunt or fish....Just be cause we can!;):p
