THE Kitchen is usable again. I got the Fridge in last in about 7:00PM and a neighbor helped me carry in the table this evening. I have one more cabinet coming to install and finish the flooring in that area. Stain and finish the hard maple moldings, put the toe kicks and trim around the cabinets and I will be able to take a much needed break. I told Glendia when we started this project it would be 6 weeks and she thought I was stretching the time frame some. The project was started the first of August and I have about one more week of work to do so I was not to far off.

Good morning from Ye Olde London Towne.
The weather is same old, same old. 16c, rain, high of 20c. Autumn is coming.

Larry, how about a nice European vacation followed by helping me with my kitchen:D:D:D

I've finally finished the wiring on the club modules ready for the acceptence testing tomorrow. I really hate wiring.

Have a great weekend all.

Why does the movie of, "National Lampoon's Eurpean Family Vaction" pop's to mind! Staring Larry as, "Chevy Chase!":D

Larry I would walk away from that offer!;)

Good morning. It's 75 and partly cloudy. The high will be 94 and you guessed it, partly cloudy.

Not sure what I'll be doing today. Likely to be whatever comes up. Had another bad night last night. Didn't get much sleep so I'm not feeling at all good this morning.

Hi everyone!:) I hope all are doing well.
Seems our summer will never end, as it has made a comeback. The temps are in the mid 90's and the humidity is right along with it. Haven't had any rain in several weeks and wouldn't you know.... showers are in the forecast for tomorrow nights game: Alabama vs. Penn State, ESPN at 7PM EST (i think:o)

The town is humming again for football season and should be near grid-lock tomorrow with fans coming in. The stadium now holds just shy of 102,000 and is a sell out, as all the home games are for the season. My son-in-law came in from Houston last night and will be going to the game with friends. They paid $1500 for 4 tickets on the 40 yard line: a bargain considering the average going price is around $550 each. (Nothing like working for an oil company.) Nuts to that! I will enjoy it on my HD at home ;).

MR continues to progress with mostly kit building. I have built the Walthers sub-station, commissary, gas plant, high voltage towers, and started on that oil and gas distributor (forgot name). I spent Wednesday afternoon helping a friend with his layout wiring problems. He really has a mess and doesn't remember half of where or which or why.

Started yesterday with the prep on the travel trailer. Cleaning and treating the roof is always a PIA and washing the many square feet of sides will stress anyone's body to the limit. We will be heading out for a week beginning Sep 20. Hopefully, the weather will be cooler then and we will be able to enjoy.

Hope all have a very good weekend and all the football fans end up with the results they want...other than Penn State fans ;):D:D

ROLL TIDE!

It wasn't in the forecast this morning but we have heavy rain pouring down now. Just got this coming across on my weather station.

Isolated showers and thunderstorms will move northeast between 10 and 15 mph. Some of the affected locations include...Toledo Bend Reservoir to Leesville...near Echo in eastern Rapides Parish as well as near Kinder and Oberlin. Occasional cloud to ground lightning and brief moderate to heavy rainfall will be possible in some of the storms.

Good early Morning to everyone....

Another restless night, I got 4 hours of sleep and can't sleep no more! I didn't spend the wee hours looking at the ceiling no, I was looking for work.....Low and behold popping up on my early morning E-mails was three Pasco County jobs(My old Job) just got posted late last nigh/early this morning! Well, i put in for them let's see if they rehire me!:o

BTW: Bill T, that last coffee shop waitress you put up yesterday is my favorite!:D

Good morning. It's 74 and partly cloudy. the high will be 97 and again, partly cloudy.

Not much going on today. We had a 45 minute power outage this morning. Don't know what caused it. At least I got a descent nights sleep for the first time in several days and I feel much better. Still waiting for the scrap yard the come get the Century. Picked up another half-pint mistint the other day. It was supposed to come out as Filoli Gold Ecru but looks more like an off-white.

Went to start my father's truck this morning and lo and behold all I got was a click from the starter relay. It worked fine last night. I took the clamps off, cleaned the posts and clamps with fine fine sandpaper. No difference. I hooked up a battery charger and checked the volts and amps. Fully charged. I tried jumping current directly to the starter with a wrench. Nothing. I checked the wires on the starter. Aha! Found a bad connection. Tightened it up then tried starting it again. Success!

2-0!

With a 48-20 victory today over the same Class A school we beat last week. We are a Class B school, they are a Class A. I didnt start, but played the whole second half and managed to score 2 touchdowns. I also dropped the return guy after kickoff. From where they caught the ball to where i hit him was 7 yards.

Sounds like you were on top of things. In a high school football game played last night there was a very controversial call by one of the referees. On one of the plays a player on the opposing team (Houston Broncos) face masked one of the Leesville Wampus Cat (team I once was on back in the stone age) players. Did the ref call it? NO! He was too concerned with one of the Leesville players jumping over one of the Broncos players. Hurdling he called it. First time I ever heard THAT one! I think he was doing it to avoid calling a face mask against the team he liked more. So did many in the stands from what I gather. From what I've heard today quite a few people got up and left at that point. The Cats lost by 42-37.

The Wampus Cats next go up against the Golden Tors (Sulpher) on Friday Sept 17th. The Golden Tors got pasted by Evangel Christian Academy (Shreveport) 41-7. The Wampus Cats and the Golden Tors are both 0-2.

I was wondering why my nephew was being so quiet today. He usually has the stereo or some other noise maker going. The exhaust on his bike probably registers on seismic recorders in Japan. Speaking of his bike, he wrecked it late last night. laid it down in a turn. Fortunately he was only going 15 mph at the time. He laid it down on the left side. Tore away the handle grip, broke the shifter, broke off the left front foot peg, twisted the mirror, broke off the left rear turn indicator and scratched the paint a bit. Witnesses say he he was able to snatch the bike back up to a standing position without a problem and took off. He was able to get it home regardless of the broken shifter. He got some road rash out of it but nothing serious. He is at this time on the internet digging up parts for his Honda Shadow 1100 Spirit.

Someone asked me today if i remembered 9/11. I might have been in the first grade, but i think ill always remember that day, and the days afterwards. I remember my teacher acting all nervous all morning, and lots of teachers visiting the room. I remember going home, and my mom saying we were going to my nanas. I remember getting to my nanas and sitting around the tv. I remember my poppy getting a call, and riding down with him to the fire station. They went out into the truck bays and surrounded a tv. I fell asleep on the wieght bench that night. I remember waking up and going to school the next morning and asking my mom why she was bringing a tv to work.

Im a sophmore this year and stiill remember it really well. At 6 years old, i didnt know what was going on. I was i was born in 1990 instead, then i would really get how big of a deal it was.

My alternate name seems to be following me.
Y'all may remember a couple of months ago, I was involved in an accident while driving my wife's car, and the end result was her getting another car.
This evening, I was driving my wife's car (she's had it less than 2 months), and was sitting in the left-turn lane, when a woman (with no driver's license) pulled out of the side street and drove head-on into me. In my wife's new car.
the woman "isn't from around here", and she had lost her license because of too many accidents.
My wife says I'm not allowed to drive her car any more... We'll see if the woman has the insurance she claimed she has...through an interpreter. She "No hablo Englais".

Gomez was the root cause of the derailment..........Your just unlucky! Maybe you should start driving a M1A1 around town!

"No hablo Englais!" is translated as,

"Hell no I have no insurance or a drivers licence, and the acident is all the greengo's fault!"

My spanish is a little rough soooo... take it for what it is!:p
