I made my 20 cent repair on the brake light switch today. Glued a couple dimes together with JB Weld the glued them to the brake pedal strut with a small spot of JB Weld and left them pinched between the pedal strut and the switch. I'll go back out in a while and see how it's holding. Just hope I don't glue the whole mess together.

So much so that I've even considered mixing up some anti-gremlin formula.:D:p
A good friend of mine that owns an American-made motorcycle has a small bell mounted on the frame to keep gremlins away. The way things are coming unplugged for you, a bell from a fire truck or locomotive may be needed.

:eek:No internet! Man, you really were roughing it!:D Hope you get over your cold or whatever it is soon.
Thanks.

[Chris Why did I suddenly get a vision of you with your last post. A vision of you in a wheelchair, with a gray wig, having Ryan push you into a Denny's do you can get the Senior special??? LOL!
You don't have to be 65 to get earlybird specials! You just have to show up around 4pm for dinner!;) I been down here for 33 years and I got use to eating dinner around 4-5pm sharp, it's those midnight snacks that kill ya!:D

Well saying how tommorow i start my sophmore year, i think ill recap summer

I played the usual few games of baseball and the usual 2 hand touch football games at the church side lot. I never got my room painted, but im fine with that, i had no clue what color i wanted it painted. I bought my first true firearm, held my first job, and had alot of fun. We never went camping this year, to busy with the new camp. Several runs to the store for snacks, swimming, kayaking, and chilling in the AC when it gets to hot.

Tommorow at 7:30, about 12hrs from now, i become a sophmore. I have no clue what i want to wear, thats next on the agenda. I finished most of my summer work, like 98%. Football is going strong and were having good practices. I hate to say it, but im ready for school. It feels like just a few weeks ago i was taking finals. Im going to miss summer.

Good evening folks.

Matt, have fun at school tomorrow. As much as I groaned about school I actually enjoyed most of it.

Jeffrey, it sounds like your van is slowly coming alive. Lets hope there isn't a continual commentary about little problems for you. Hopefully the gremlins have had their fun with you.:)

Jim, where are you? Did the RV bed fall on you?

I got power back to my back loop of track. I tried resoldering each section to see if the connections were bad. Nope, just a waste of time and solder. Not to mention having to repaint the track. Then I realized that I am relying on the turnout point rails for connectivity. A little filing and I was back in business. This has taught me to finish wiring the layout with more feeders instead of relying on the measly three I have. It worked fine for a while, but now I need to make it a little more reliable. At least it all works again.:D

Well, I'm off to bed. Good night everyone.

Matt - What the hell is a sophmore ??

Jeffrey - What kind of horn have you install in your car ? im tinking to install a k3la myself on my honda odissey

Electronic police air horn. The sucker will peg the DB meters the cops use to check the noise from car stereos. I've been told it can be heard for better than 5 blocks. Doesn't it look so innocent?

Good morning. It's 76, cloudy and extremely humid. The high will be 92 and there's a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms.

My van is almost ready for inspection. The only thing left to add is head lights. I took care of the problem with the brake light switch yesterday. All it took was two dimes, some JB Weld and a little time. Now the brake lights turn off when I take my foot off the brake. The head lights will cost about $30 for all 4, problem is I don't have the $30. This morning I got the last of my stuff out of the car. I called the scrap yard yesterday to come get it. They're running a backlog right now but they'll be out to make me an offer on it and pick it up as soon as they can.

Well not much new here. Still fighting with the soon to be ex, and I got the child support paper work off to IRS:mad:! We'll see how water tight my boat is and hope we don't haave a finacial leak:(:o.

I got 6 yards mowed and went to the mower store to get some more blades for little bits! My little mower and it's new motor have proven themselves to be a winning combo. The mower store that i got little bits from was looking him over! They were impressed with the mods I done and suprised to see it rip through 18" tall bermuda with out stalling also not leaving one seed stalk standing or clumps of grass every where:p!

I didn't show them the Blade Mod, I do to the blades:D Some tricks are best left a secret!

Why not ask the junkyard to bring a set of headlights out to go on your van when they come to get the car?

It's because there's no way to accurately tell how many hours are on them and that they can blow any time. Stupid I know because even a new light can blow after only a few hours. Seems crazy to me too because they don't measure the intensity of the light produced. As a light gets more operational hours on it it dims steadily in brightness. This is due to the tungsten of the filament slowly depositing on the reflective surface within the light. That's why head lights appear to become darker in color the older they get. But again they don't check that here so I don't see why they make such a big issue of it. Now I have been in the position of depending on a set of junkyard lights and having 3 of the 4 blow in 1 night. That's not a good feeling.

looks like a law to keep those inspectors employed...
Most likely. At $10 an inspection I think it's a waste of their time though.

Good morning. It's 75 and cloudy. The high will be 94 and it will be mostly cloudy. There's a 20% chance of thunderstorms.

Not much on the schedule today. Just going to use the time to get some rest. I didn't get much sleep last night due to bone pain in my ankle so I'm not feeling all that great. About the only task I have to accomplish today is too scrape some overspray paint off the windows of my van. That work goes fairly quickly as long as I have a sharp blade in the scraper. Also have some touch up painting to do.

Jeffery- It sounds as if you are mostly done with the van to get it inspected.
Try not to aggrevate the bone in your ankle, or you will be driving that van back to the doctor.
Will you get enough scrap value out of the Century to pay for new lights?

We've been getting rain and thunder showers from late afternoon into the evening today. Glad I got the touch up painting on my van done before the rain started. My nephew was so sure it had a radiator leak. Nothing serious. Just a little rusted area around the overflow. I blocked it up with some epoxy. The radiator has anti-freeze in it now and there's no leaks anywhere. The scrap yard made an offer on the Century today. $100. That's fine with me. I'm surprised they offered that much. They should be out in a day or two to pick it up.
