Well I had to change back to a black lettered keyboard on the IIe. The reset button on the white lettered one wouldn't work. Didn't know if the button was defective or there was some conflict with the 65C02 processor. I put the suspect keyboard in a 6502 equipped chassis and tested it. Definitely a defective keyboard. Come to think of it that's exactly why I had the original keyboard in my Apple replaced back in 1986. Played a game of Starfleet1 this evening. I had to hunt down and destroy twenty-five enemy ships. The last one was a cloaked vessel. Kinda hard to find when you can't see them. I finally found the sucker and smoked him like a cheap cigar, but not before he did plenty of damage. The Galactica will be out of service for a while. No train news other than the layout is getting a mite dusty.

Say Mike,

That's quite a buggy and runs of Nitro fuel no less!
David, we have a regular core group.....about ten of us age 40 to 60.....we run on a couple different private tracks roughly every two weeks from may to october. Nothing but 1/8 scale 4WD nitro buggies. It's great fun and we almost die laughing from the awesome wrecks sometimes. :D

Gotta be something wrong there, wheels ain't got no flanges

Say Carey,
I'm grabbing a few things and heading out shortly. LoL

On the Eye surgery you might want to allow more time in between the two implants just to ensure your vision in your Right Eye is good enough to see clearly first so you don't wind up with two blury eyes. You'll know better than anybody how your vision is improving. A lady friend just went through having one eye done and they wanted to rush her back in in two weeks also to have the second eye done. It taken her at least a month to get her vision back in the eye the surgery was done on so don't rush it would be my advise. See how the progress goes first or you may be stumbling around much longer than you think.

I should arrive there in a couple of days, your going to meet me at the station, right? LoL

Good morning. It's cloudy and 68, heading for a high of 82.
We had some serious rain yesterday, and it looks like my chimney is leaking. I capped off the top of it last year, and had no more leaks until about a month ago. It looks like maybe the mortar has loosened between the furnace output and the fireplace flue, and (lots) of water is running down the chimney onto my living room floor. It's times like these I enjoy renting rather than being the homeowner. While it means my train layout has to be kind of simple and easily removable, it also means when I encounter a problem with the house I can't easily fix, I can let the landlord handle it.

Good Morning

Nice and sunny out there..currently we are sitting at 63 going for a high of....68... (:))

We rocked the house last night...two encores even...loved it. :D It was a wonderful night for us'uns.... :D

Today will be a day of rest, of course, with the usual stuff to do...again... B-|

Ah well...have a good day!!

Good morning. It's 70° with 100% humidity. The high will be 92° and will feel like 104°. There's a slight chance of showers this afternoon.

I've finally gotten what amounts to a good nights sleep for me. Close to seven hours. No plans for today. But I'm sure something will come up.

Well, its getting late and its time for the Saturday Night Bath! Then my bedtime meds and off to the land of Nod. Wonder iffin' I'll be dreaming about trains??????;) All yall need to come down and give me a hand, as I'm sure gonna need it!
You've got your eye on the ball Carey. When you finally get time for trains.......you will have earned it.

Heading to church in a few minutes. The two granddaughters head home today after a week, and, I'm slap wore out! I thought I was too young for grandchildren. Ha! ;) We took them to see "Monsters University" yesterday - pretty good little movie, especially for young kids (and kids in their mid-fifties).

On the train front, I've got a few Peco turnouts on order for an N-scale micro layout. Benchwork is done (actually, recycled from an earlier switching layout). The planned HO switching layout is on hold for now as we may need to move my father-in-law in with us (memory issues).

Happy Sunday, everyone! :)

Went to the Atl show this past weekend. Any body who wasn't there you missed a goodin'! I was there for almost 5 hours, and spent too much time on my feet, and too much money as well!:p Got to see our ole friend Alan (Espeefan) and his wife, and renew friendships with several of the manufacturers I've known for years. While there, I bought 2 more F&C resin kits, as if I needed any more cars to begin with.

So that horrible screeching sound I kept hearing was your wallet opening. I wondered what that was, and where the bagpipe music was coming from!!! :p;)

It was good to see you guys too! It was indeed a good show. I spent a bunch myself, mostly on structure kits. No brass came home, even though I saw several possibilities! I visited the Bar Mills booth, and the Motrak models booth and picked up their latest offerings, and got a kit from J&L Innovations plus a bunch of detail castings. City Classics also had some small building kits with depression era modernized storefronts that looked really cool, and he was cutting good deals. They did a pretty good job of separating me from a tidy amount of filthy lucre! I only wish I'd had more time to wander around but we were awfully busy!

The convention was a good one too. I wore one of my Wrecking Crew shirts one day and got several comments because my badge said Wisconsin :D

...

Yep!:p Thought I was gonnahavta oil those hinges on it! Although I couldn't hear for a couple of hours afterwards, the bagpipe music still came thru loud and clear.
(If you're from the South, gonnahavta needs no explanation!)

Say I took care of my Large Stroke victim Mom who was also a long time Insulin Dependent Diabetic and began to develope dementia.
Two health supplements, (*)'Nattokinase' and
Hupperzine A for the memory may well help your father-in-law.

*[Nattokinase promotes circulatory health by cleaning out all the veins and arteries but is a bit of a blood thinner so confer with his doctor first before giving it to him if he is taking any other blood thinners] I prefer the NOW Brand

I have seen Huperzine bring Mom out of beginning to go into dementia on 4 different occasions, [supplement ran out at the convalescent hospital and I was not notified about it in time] but realized it as I saw her slip back into say things that didn't make sense. This is by Source Naturals.

The best place and least expensive is, AllStarHeath.com

Ps: I'm in no-way connected with any of these.

I'll be getting an IOL implant to replace the bad lens in my rt eye first, then 2 weeks later, I'll be getting the lt eye done.

Plus somewhere in there, I've got to get Daughter moved in here. I'm really going to have very little time to get anything done before then.:(

Nothing much happened today. Tore down a disk drive, replaced the motor and reassembled it and put it back in service. This evening I went to KFC with my father and step mother. Now it's time to call it a night. See y'all tomorrow.
