Evening all, i saw the snow on the TV tonight, what a mess. No doubt we'll get it in 3 weeks time, we normally do once it's hit NY.
Time for me to call it a night. See y'all tomorrow.
Christine gets around, doesn't she?
I used to have a 58 Plymouth that looked just like Christine. It had a 350 cubic inch engine (yes, Chrysler/Plymouth made a 350 V8. Everything but the pistons and water pump could be used on a 383. The 350 was made in 1958 only.) and it was in near mint condition. In 1988 I was coming back from a trip to Arizona when I pulled into a rest stop in east Texas. I had the radio tuned to an oldies station, 50's music blaring. This guy just came out of one of the restrooms, heard the music, turned around and saw the car and what happened next had me laughing for an hour. I don't know if it was fright or a gust of wind that came along just at that moment but his hair stood up and he took off at a dead run for his car and burned rubber out of there! Guess he saw 'Christine' one too many times.
Good morning...
Good Morning ! from Tipton IN.

Good morning folks
It was 46 F when I left this morning. Our high will be 56 F.
We had about 40 to 50 trick-or-treaters last night. That was an increase over the last few years. We were still the only house on our side of the street giving out candy. There were four houses across the street also giving out so the kids had more than one reason to hit our block.
Not much else going on. We may go to a college volleyball game tonight. This would be a Division 2 contest between Philadelphia University and University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. We have not seen a D2 match yet.
I hope everybody has a good day.
Good morning. It's 62° and sunny. The high will be 76° and it will be sunny.
I'll be going into town to pay a few bills at some places that refuse to leave the stone age and discover something called online billing. Also have to get gas and groceries and drop some packages at the post office, not necessarily in that order. I'll be back later.
Time for me to call it a night. I didn't get much sleep last night and having a busy day didn't help much. See y'all tomorrow.
Good afternoon. Home today, just got back from the dentist. Root canals are not fun...

I agree, they are not, but the meds they give you can be!

If the Fury hadn't had a bad gas cap, it would have outrun the Chrysler 300, which there was a memo from the higher ups at Chrysler that none of the cars (Dodge, Plymouth or the De Soto) at Daytona were to outrun the 300.
Cry babies.
I'm not feeling up to par today so I won't be doing much. Haven't gotten much sleep the past couple of days so I'm feeling really tired.
STRESS What STRESS I ain't got NO FREEKING STRESSS!!!!!!

Good morning folks
It was 43 F when I hit the crowded highways this morning. Our high will be 63 F.
The roads were unusually crowded this morning. Luckily for me I either saw the back-ups in time or heard about them on the radio before I got stuck in them. I was able to bushwhack my way around them and it took only an extra 15 minutes to get to the office.
My son had his last middle school soccer game yesterday. They lost 3 to 2. Despite not winning any games he enjoyed playing. His team only had 13 players for most of the season. They played the last couple of games with 11 so there were no substitutes. Today is the soccer team versus faculty game.
I had field meetings yesterday so I was away from the computer most of the day. When I got home I was not feeling well and basically crashed for a couple of hours. I am battling a head cold the past few days and have been feeling really run down.
I hope everybody has a good day.
Good morning. It's 47°, mostly cloudy, wet and breezy with a NNW wind at 8 mph. There's a 30% chance of rain this morning but clearing out by noon. The high is due to be 63° and it will be mostly cloudy.
We got some rain last night but it didn't amount to much. We may get some light rain this morning. The boys out on Fort Polk are having a lot of fun making big booms but I don't hear any thunder. Anything dense enough to show up on radar is passing over east Louisiana heading ESE into Mississippi and there's nothing showing to the west of here. I'll be going into town later to get the rest of my grocery shopping done. I picked up some items recently in a trade. One of them is a track cleaning car that uses a dry pad. Initially I looked at it as being useless as all I have to do in the way of cleaning is give the rails a quick light wipe after any long period of inactivity. No real cleaning is involved. I've come to realize that I can have a loco push this thing around the layout and it can wipe the dust off for me. Being it's harder and more painful for me to get around than it was just a few years ago anything that can make things easier and save me from some pain is worth a shot. Getting to the east side of the layout requires opening an access hole from underneath and getting to a standing position in that access is a royal pain in the butt. That access allows me to get to about seven feet of track that would otherwise be out of my reach. If this little cleaning car can wipe the dust off that portion of track why should I torture myself.
I don't know if they do or not. I tried it out on a short section of track that hadn't been wiped in some time and it did remove the dust in one pass. I added a 1x1x1/16 inch sheet of lead to the top of the cleaning pad so it puts a little additional weight on the rails. The one I have sells on the Bachmann site for $40 + shipping but you can get one on Ebay for about $30 total.
Went to town earlier today. Went to Lowe's first and got a couple of cans of starting fluid for my van. It doesn't start so fast in cold weather. A one of two second spray of the fluid assures a hit on the first crank. Also got a four pack of super glue and a bottle of super glue gel, two packs of 2 x 3/8 brass screws. Then on to Wal-Mart for the remainder of my grocery shopping. On the way back home the wind had increased to 12 mph from the NW with 30 mph gusts. That gets to be fun when you're driving something that has the aerodynamics of a billboard. And now I have to go back to Lowe's. I got a cartridge filter for my Shop-Vac and got the wrong one. Fun, fun.
