The above reminds me of a joke:
This older guy goes in to the Dr. office, which was very packed with others waiting, and he walks up to the nurses desk and she asks him what seems to be the problem?

He says I've got a problem with my dick. The nurse gets a bit put out and say to him he shouldn't say such a thing in the office as it might offend someone. She says to him, he should say something like you have a problem with your ear and explain it to the Dr. when you get in to see him. So she suggests he step out of the office and return in a little while when he can rephrase his problem.

So he does and after about 15 minutes he returns and goes up to the desk again and the nurse takes the que and asks him what his problem is?

He replies, I have a problem with my ear and would like to have the Dr. look at it.

Ok, fine she replies, and what seems to be the problem with your ear?

To which the Old fellow replies, I can't Pee out of it !!

Jeff will not be with us today unless the cable gets fixed. The whole area is out. I could not get out on my satellite hookup until the clouds cleared enough. The problem with the cable is that a line of bad thunderstorms came through early in the morning and tore up things pretty bad. The power and cable were knocked out a little past 8 . The power came back a little while later. The cable has been out all day and by my tv is still out. Jeff's internet is by cable so if something does not change he will not be back on. To those who are of a praying disposition and even if you ware not, he is not doing well in spite of what he says. He has trouble standing and he cannot keep his balance well. I hope he gets better. I for one like his work and I want to see it continue.

I've just deleted about a half dozen replies for not following the No Political/Religious Commentary rule.

Just a reminder. If you google "Political Forum", you'll find 265 million places on the web you can debate politics to your heart's content. This site isn't one of them.

Good morning. It's 52° and cloudy. The high will be 68° and it will be partly cloudy.

The morning storm yesterday dropped two and three quarter inches of rain on us in just a couple of hours. The winds were significant. I wouldn't have liked to be out on the roads at the time. Lightning and thunder weren't too bad. I've seen much worse but it hit in the wrong places yesterday and took out the power and cable during the first few minutes of the storms crossing of this area. The power was back on after only a couple of minutes but the cable was out until very late in the day. well, enough about that. David was right in what he said about me not doing as well as I let on. I just look at it in the sense that if the docs can't do anything about it there's little reason to make a hash of it.

Good Morning All,
Yea, I guess all that's going on gets to me as I see my prior post above my post above was deleted. Hum, and I didn't think it was all that bad either, it was about as factual as it gets.

Jeffrey, What I said prior to my above post [deleted] certainly wasn't directed at you by any means so don't think it was, ok?

Well guys and gals, I hope your having some enjoyable railroading.

Hey guys.

Its been awhile since ive stopped in, but looks like everyone is doing well.

Today is the start of Thanksgiving Break for us. We got 5 inches of snow last night, so my morning started at 5:30 and running the snowblower. I wouldve felt bad for running it so early and worrying about waking people up but when i pulled it out of the garage there were at least 4 other driveways with machines throwing snow in them. After that i came inside and got cleaned up and had some breakfast. I then spent 3 hours at my workbench working on several locomotives. I did a shell swap on a couple of BB F7s, installed handrails on an SD9 and a GP9, as well as installed cab glass into an S12. The S12 and GP9 also got horns. I also worked on getting my Proto 2000 GP60's shell off to no avail. I think the screw is either broken or the hole is stripped because all she'll do is spin. Other than that i ran some trains. It was nice to shake the dust off of my ACe and DD40s, those make for quite a consist :D I also set up an A-B-B-B-A set of F7s attached to 4 superliners, and called it my recreation of the super chief

After the trains i decided to go outside and clean up the backyard a bit. I mowed the lawn over the weekend and the lawnmower was still parked 3ft outside the garage. It was a small chore to get in unburied and into the garage . After that i took the wheeler for a few spins around the backyard to enjoy the snow. Lets just say that the yard is about 40% cleared of snow, but there are some relatively high burms, err drifts, in certain places ;)

In other news, i shot my first deer on sunday. I dropped the single-horn-spike-horn from about 65 yard in a treestand. I heard the deer before i saw him, as i originally was cursing the squirels. I even had one in the scope and was about to really mess up his day before i heard the deer come down the hill  He went about 20 yds before falling down in the side of the logging road, very convenient. The one tine had been broken off some time ago, as it was rounded off, but the tine that was left was about 6 inches long. The dad got to witness the entire thing as he was in a treestand on the other side of the tree, including me shaking out of adrenaline after the shot :o

Id be happy to post a few photos if noone would be offended.

Hope everyone has a good day, and a safe and happy thanksgiving to all.

Happy Thanksgiving

No layout work today though I may get a little work done on a hopper later. Couplers are too high.

Good morning folks.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm heading out to my sister's house for some Turducken and all the trimmings. I feel like I'm going to over eat today! Yup, I know I'm going to over eat. :D

I installed my fire escapes on my hotel yesterday. The kit is from Walthers and spaced for one of their buildings. I had to trim the height of the stairs between the floors to fit a DPM kit. It's amazing how much more real scenes look with details like this. What's even more amazing is how many details it takes to flesh out a scene. I think I'll have more money into details than the buildings or track in the city.

Time to get ready for the day.
Have a great day everyone.
