Good morning. Happy Independence day.

The only good thing I can say about the weather here is that it will keep the incidence of fireworks related fires down. There's some fools out here shooting them everywhere and at everything. One guy even shot a couple off toward a police car and actually wondered why he got arrested!

Beautiful Family, Luct, and what a darling great grand daughter!

I'll second that!

When my son and his wife came over with my Granddaughter a few days ago, it was a riot to watch my cats checking her out. My 20lb. cat, Monet, sniffed her, looked at us and said, "Meoooow!" and then curled up right beside her next to my son. He'd never seen a human smaller than he is..... LOL.

Happy Fourth o' July my fellow Yanks and Rebels - and thanx to our overseas well-wishers too!

Jeffrey, that guy who shot the fireworks at the cop car - I bet he was a teenager who probably saw something like that on Nickleodeon and figured it would be 'OK'...

Luc, excellent family pix!

I hope to get out with the family to view fireworks tonite, but our expectations aren't too high - with all the T-storms being predicted they'll likely get cancelled. And we're going to be out of town on the planned re-schedule date :( , oh well.

I can't believe how long it has taken me to convert this Kato gp35 to a roadslug. Operations that I normally guess to take 10-15 minutes wind up taking 3-4 hours! I must have invested close to 30 hours into this thing already and it's still full of flaws, oh well no turning back now!

Exactly right! He got what he deserved. Fireworks are to be used responsibly and are not intended for use by the irresponsible.

Good Morning ALl ! We had a wet fourth but the rain could not dampen our celebration . Luc a beautiful great granddaugther indeed . I'll have some coffee and rye toast today Flo as I try to see thru this fog. Have a great day all !!!!!

Good morning folks

We have a rainy day today here in the Delaware Valley. Currently the temperature is 73 F and we are supposed to reach 86 F. It is somewhat uncomfortable because the humidity is going up. Yesterday was quite cool in the morning. It was 66 F at 8:30 AM when we left for the 4th of July parade. As the day went on it got warmer but in the evening it got very muggy just before the rains. As for the parade the kids marched or should I say rode their decorated bikes. Each got a trophy for their decorations. We did not go to any fireworks last night since by 8 PM it was raining steadily.

I sealed the two gondolas, six reefers, and two flat cars. I also rain some trains.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Other showers and thunderstorms from north of pecan island to Marsh Island at 8 o'clock will move through the Intracoastal City area and to coastal Iberia and Saint Mary parishes through 9 AM. Isolated showers will occur elsewhere over the region. Over the coastal waters...scattered showers and thunderstorms will occur from the lower Atchafalaya River to Intracoastal City and from Cameron to High Island out 60 nautical miles.
