Yikes Ray! That's a lot of buttons. :D

Looks a lot more complex than it really is. The main board is a Soundcraft 40 channel board with two stereo channels that tie it to other inputs such as the Yamaha 16 X 2 digital board for the body pack receivers. What is a blast is operating 16 receivers and 7 other mics all at the same time that have to be turned on and off and adjusted during each scene. The Yamaha has an on board computer that we set up scene by scene that gives us the mics used and the approximate levels for each scene instantly when you recall it. It takes 2 of us to run the system during the show. It is a little like an operating session on a large layout.........

Well, one more show to go and it is over for this year. Then I can get back to finishing the clinic I am presenting next Saturday. I decided to skip the cast party tonight and feed the cats and go to bed.

Steve, Cheeseburger to go and a brew to wash it down. Thanks!

Morning, Everyone.

Up early today for some reason. Had some decent rain yesterday and overnight but nothing severe so that's all good. Doesn't look like we'll see much of the sun today though and it's a breezy 59 degrees, which is cool for us.

Jeffrey, nice job remotoring that E-6. What did you use for the job?

Ray..."Looks a lot more complex than it really is"...easy for you to say. :) I'd be completely lost with something with that many buttons and controls. Just all the junk on my car's dash confuses me at times. Sounds like the shows came off great though, which I know is a big load off your mind. I go home and get some sleep tonight too after one of Steve's teleported cheeseburgers and beers. :D

Steve, too bad about the little one getting sick. It did look like miserable weather in your picture. Somehow, steam always looks more menacing and evil in that kind of weather.

Well, time to get ready for church so I'd better get showered and shaved. Hope you all have a good day.

I had another E6 that had a badly bent frame (dropped it) and a busted shell as well as some other damage. It was an easy matter to transfer the weights and inner workings to the new frame. That thing had more screws in it than I thought it would.

Mornin' everyone!

Beautiful sunny day here in the Finger Lakes! 31°F right now but a high in the mid 40s. Soon I can put away the snowblower and see if the lawn mower still runs. (I hate lawns!)

Today is the last show of the Geneva High School production of Fiddler. All went fairly well last night, but the same mic died half way through the second act. Dead Battery again. The chance of that unit having a bad (new) battery two nights in a row is fairly slim. So, I think I have another transmitter on the way out. This afternoon we will change its battery at intermission.

Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning !! ANother nice Sunday here on the Niagara Frontier !!! Ditto what Ray said about the weather ! Well it's time for brunch and it won't get done unless I do it so better hop to it ! Hope everyone has a real nice day !

Good afternoon folks

It has been a busy, exciting, and scary weekend. We off started yesterday with Scout day at the Philadelphia Phillies. Of course it was cold and windy. The scary part came while we were walking into the stadium. My wife got behind a couple of guys smoking cigars just outside the gate. (The Phillies are very strict on smoking inside the stadium; they will throw you out if you are caught smoke outside of a designated area.) The smoke sets off her asthma into a major attack. He rescue inhaler does not work as fast as she needs it to. I get her to the gate and ask one of the attendants for help. As he is rushing to help she collapses into both of our arms. At that point they call for the EMTs. They give her oxygen and take her to the First Aid Station. They give her several Albuterol treatments. She responses to the treatments and quickly recovers. Of course they want her to stay for a while for observation. The kids are with us and at that point I take them to the seats to meet up with their friends and arrange a ride home for them if I have to take my wife home early. All the scouts got to run the bases after the game so we did not want them to miss out on it. They release my wife at the beginning of the 7th inning. She is feeling much better at this time and we stayed until the end of the game meet up with our kids and most of the pack and they ran the bases.

Today we just got back from the Philadelphia Mineral Treasures and Fossil Fair at the Shiners’ LuLu Temple. Scouts in uniform got in free so we encouraged our pack to go and we ran into a few boys. We all enjoyed the show and the kids bought some specimens and jewelry. My wife bought some jewelry, so now I can bring a few more trains in the house without the Look.

No modeling yet this weekend. There are still a few hours left so I hope to get some in.

I hope everybody has a good evening.

Good morning folks

It was 40 as I rolled onto the road this morning. High today is supposed to be 53 F with some rain. The kids have half-days this week since they are taking the PSSA tests and also have parent-teacher conferences.

I started entering boxcars into the computer inventory. I am about 80% done with the boxcars. After them is passenger equipment and locos.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Morning all!

Got any flooding around you Jeff, or is that yet to come?

We've got some rain today too. It's not the prettiest start to the week. Warmer air is moving in, but what that means for us today is a lot of low clouds and drizzle. Most of the rain and thunderstorms will be very spotty, few and far between. In spite of the gloomy weather, it will be warmer than normal with highs ranging from the low to upper 60’s!

As some of you know, I've been fighting off a cold for almost 2 weeks now. Well yesterday I spent a good portion of the day in bed dozing. I crawled in bed about 3pm and basically stayed there until this morning. And do you know what? I'm still drug out and tierd! And it's not like when you've had too much sleep either. It's like when you haven't had enough. I guess it might be an early night tonight, huh?

My son continues to improve every day. he still gets the occasional shooting pains from those nerves that he's never really used until now, but other then that, he's walking all over the place on his casts and doing most things normally. He just doesn't let much slow him down, ya know?

My wife is coming down with the cold I've been fighting I think. She was sick to her stomach all day. She's better now, but yesterday was tough. She couldn't even hardly sit up. I'm glad she's better though.

Tom, I do hope the cigar smokers were delt with properly.

Well, I've got to run just now, but I'll stop in later.

Bye!

Good morning everyone.

Yemps are in the mid 40s here and it is downpouring rain at the moment. Should help to get the streets cleared off from all of the sand used this winter.

Actually had the chance to get some modeling done this weekend. Got started on three out of five projects and was also able to get a new stoll to sit on while I am modeling. Half price at Menards since it was the display model. It even has a swivel seat. :)

Good Morning everyone!

Paul sssshhhhhh! You trying to temp the evil eye of winter??? (Sorry, too many performances of Fiddler.) It does look like Spring is finally chasing Old Man Winter out. It is 39°F right now and the high will be 46° later this afternoon. On the other hand....... Icky cold rain is falling from the sky.

Philip I hope your whole family gets feeling up to par soon.

Got an e-mail this morning with some changes in my electrical documentation for the certificate. He wants them kept simple. He said it would eliminate questions that could delay the approval up the line. He even drew some suggested diagrams for me and said I could use them as they were taken from the documents I gave him and were drawn "Under My Supervision using data I supplied" which meets the criteria. Also said that I need no changes to any of my wiring on the layout. So things are looking good at the moment. I will be meeting with him at the Division meet next Saturday to review the changes and see what comes next.

Good Afternoon, everyone.

Tom, sorry to hear about your wife but she needs to talk to her doctor about a different type of rescue inhaler. Short exposure outdoors to smoke should not set off a major asthma attack. I'm glad she's OK though.

Philip, I'm still trying to recover from this combination fo an upper respiratory infection and bronchitis that have had for about three weeks and know how you feel. This is some variant of the common cold, not the flu, but it seems to hang on for a long time and make you feel miserable and cough up a lung a day. I've heard reports of this from all over the country so it seems to be a very widespread infection. Unfortunately, drinking lots of fluids, sleeping, and cough syrup seem to be the only way to deal with it. Interestingly, people have body pain and headaches but very few reports of anything but a low grade fever. This is a strange one.

Carl, that's what I need, a decent stool. My legs hurt from too many hours standing at the workbench.

Ray, that still sounds way too complicated for me but it souds like things are headed in the right direction for getting your certificate. I'll bet you're glad to get those perfomances behind you. :)

It's a gray, windy, and cold day down here too. It's supposed to clear up later but I don't think that's going to happen. This reminds me too much of being in Cleveland again. :(

Jim, you nailed it! Thats a good description of what I've got going on. The Zicam worked prety well, but I ran out. Now I'm feling it!
