Morning all!

Getting an early start this morning. Gonna head to work for a little while and hen off to the hospital. Once I let the wife get some sleep there I'm off to school. Busy day, huh?

It snowed last night. Just a little. Still, I was hoping we were done with that for a while. It looks better for a while now though, see.........

I haven't done a weather report in a while, so I figured I'd do a big one.

I'll check ya later!

Good morning folks

It was 33 F as I headed out this morning. We are supposed to reach 49 F. No rain or ice/snow in the forecast for the next few days which is a welcome change.

I spent some time last night inventorying and inputting some of my rolling stock into an inventory program on the computer. I pretty much finished all the reefers, flat cars, and open hoppers. Right now I am entering the stuff that is built or weathered.

I hope everybody has a good day.

By the way Philip been praying a little extra for you son and hoping that he gets out of that bed real soon . Well have to get ready to run . So hope you all have a real nice Polish kinda day also !!!!:D

Mornin' Bill!

Mornin' Philip! Hope your son is doing better.

Mornin' Tom! I got all my rolling stock on the computer a couple months ago. Now I just have to remember to update it......

Mornin' Jeffrey! Nice job on that boxcar BTW. I was following all the brewha across the street last night. Wonder if everything has been sorted out.....?

Mornin' Paul! Dyngus Day...... I haven't heard that since I lived next door to Slovakian Lady and her Polish husband (the state trooper) many years ago. She used to claim that Slovak was "high class" polish..... Had a lot of great times helping them celebrate all kinds of occasions. Man could they throw a party! We didn't need to buy groceries for a week after one of those events.

Today I get to do all the stuff that I was supposed to do a week ago like mixing the All County I recorded a little over a week ago. So I best get going. Oh, BTW, its 29°F outside here in the Finger Lakes. Predicted high is 35°F. "We're havin' a heat wave, Tropical heat wave......."

A great and happy day to you all. Wow! Spring is definitely here with the pine pollen turning everything yellow (aaaaaaachoooo!!)

evening all,

Rex, you can keep the pollen your side of the pond, went out on the wild side this morning, down the wood's, through knee deep mud and wild garlic, What a smell at this time of year it makes, took a short cut through the river yarrow on the way back, a bit nippy on the legs but good fun, still ,,,,,better than staying indoors getting the silent treatment of her indoors.
This afternoon i put a new bath panel on and laid a new floor,
time for a beer now

How about some fun:

Skinny Dipping

An elderly man in Florida had owned a large farm for several years. He had a large pond in the back, fixed up nicely: Picnic tables, horseshoe courts, a volleyball court, and some apple and peach trees.

The pond was properly shaped and fixed up for swimming.

One evening the old farmer decided to go down to the pond and look it over, as he hadn't been there in a while. He grabbed a five-gallon bucket to bring back some fruit.

As he neared the pond, he heard voices shouting and laughing with glee. As he came closer, he saw it was a bunch of young women skinny-dipping in his pond. He made the women aware of his presence and they all went to the deep end. One of the women shouted to him, 'We're not coming out until you leave!'

The old man frowned, 'I didn't come down here to watch you ladies swim naked or make you get out of the pond naked.'

Holding the bucket up he said, 'I'm just here to feed the alligator .'

Old men can still think fast:D :D

Good evening everyone. What a day, what a day. Two of my coworkers decided to break some company rules and received three days off of work. That means that the rest of us all get to work overtime to keep things on schedule.

Oh well, all will be good in the end right?

Thanks for the dip Rex, that was great. :D

Good morning everyone. :)

Temps are to be in the mid-50s today so I suspect that what little snow remains on the ground will be gone today. The goos thing is that the temps have risen pretty slowly so the snow melted in a controlled manner and has kept the river at bay around here. I know that some other areas were not so lucky so I have to count my blessings on that one.

I was at the LHS yesterday around lunch and saw that they had received a shipment of the Athearn Boxcar that's painted for the "Strides Against Cancer" and labeled for the WSOR. I am planning on running back down there today to grab one of them.

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

Good morning folks

Spring, huh!? It was 32 F with a wind chill this morning on the way to work. It is supposed to get up to 53 F. Now they are calling for a chance of rain for the rest of the week.

I continued inputting my rolling stock into computer inventory. I finished the tank cars and covered hoppers. I even found a few more open hoppers that I had forgotten about.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Morning all!

Well, it's sunny and looking like mid 50's for this afternoon.

That's not the big news though!

The big news is that my boy may get to come home today! Thats right! He's been in the hospital since last Thursday with a surgery on his legs. It was a pretty big surgery and the so they gave him quite a lot of pain meds to keep him comfortable. Problem was, those narcotics shut down his digestive tract (it's really quite common for that to happen), so they had to get that going again before they can release him. It's been a tough time, but things look pretty good so far. And to top it off, even though he's in two large leg casts, he walked yesterday for about 50 feet! I sure hope he gets to come home today. He wants to sleep in his own bed!

I have to thank you all for for all of your prayers and support. You all have been great! Thanks!

Thats it for now.....I'm outta here!

Mornin' everyone!

Philip that is good news. Hopefully he is well on the way to recovery and will be running instead of walking before long.

Currently a sunny 28°F here in the Finger Lakes this morning. The high should be around 45°F with rain this afternoon.

I mailed out the paperwork for the electrical AP Certificate to our AP Chair. Now I just get to wait and see what he says.......... Got home from Fiddler reahearsal last night at 11:15PM. Our tweaking of the miking is working well. Only big hitch was that right before the scene we changed miking for last night, 5 of the radios went dead (Batteries) so I will have to wait until tonight to see how that works. Wednesday is the first (public) dress rehearsal. The show will be seen by students and teachers from an area school. This is good as it will give the cast experience performing with a "real" audience, but puts more pressure on me to have the sound perfect. This will be a long week....

Have a great spring day everyone!

That's great news Philip , May the Lord make him stronger every day ! Ray gotta watch those batteries . Don't you know that Ghosts in the Theater draws energy from those batteries !
