Hello folk's,
Ken L that must have been very upseting for everyone at the school

Just hung a door, only five more to go, the joys of do it yourself.

Rex If you ever come over here there's ton's to see without going to London, everyone seem's to think you "Have to go" to London. It's cheaper here than London anyhow and the people speak to you.

well it rained today but not for long, the ground is still hard as iron, and just a few quick lightning bolts but nothing to scary

Steve B back in the mid 70's I went to England Or should I say my Ship did (U.S.S.Independence CV-62) we ankored out and road tugs and ferries type boats into Portsmouth and had a grand time there. Keep trying to tell the wife that all the pubs are not as big as on the show east enders. most that I went to were acually small to what were use to here in the states about enough room for about 25 - 30 and that was all.

Hi all not much happening here lately.

Good morning ! from Indiana. :D

RT LOL , no way man, you don't have to watch "Eastenders" do you, my wife loves to watch it but it just depresses me, truly awfull TV, Portsmouth is a bit rougher nowadays, not a place i enjoyed going to as a truck driver
Ken M i'd love to get out in the snow now, at least you don't get hayfever in it

Here's a link to a news station covering the snow in NZ,,, it's put 6ft down on hills and up to 3ft in other areas

Hey Steve nice to know your keeping up with my local news. My Mum in-law has just had power go back on after 2 and a half days, she's in Fairlie which really had a good dumping (3 feet) The good news for them is their ski field www.dobson.co.nz is open. It's owned by Jan's mums partner Peter foote. The best snow fall in 15 years ( they just bought snow making machines which they wont need this year)

Mornin Ray hope your day goes as good as mine is going to

By golly, it has been a good day! Finished putting up the fence to protect the garden from the cute little bunnies that congregate on my lawn..... (They don't allow the discharge of firearms here in town... ). The director of a choir program that I just recorded has accepted my ideas on the mix so I can get going with that project.

Ken, looks like parts of NZ did get some real snow there!!! What you posted on the other thread was, uhm, a bit, well, missleading? Maybe? We would be proud of getting 3 feet of the stuff way up here in the Finger Lakes of NY, U S of A. Hope everyone is either digging out or able to wait 'till it melts....:p ;) :D

Yeah sorry bout that!! It's just a light coating here, but boy did they ever get it in-land!! I should be there helping but too busy at work.

Ken.

Hey gang! Just a quick note to say Hi and that I am busy with the rework of that horrible mess called a background. Nothing like starting all over other than now I have so many ideas floating around in my head, it may be confusing to get going. This was to be a quicky semi-sceniced area...but...

NZKen, I am envious of your snow. We are just starting our yearly baking temperatures. We finally got a good soaking yesterday from several thunderstorms that knocked out my power for two hours. I love it when the weathermen are wrong in our favor:D .

Mornin' everyone. Hey, Bill --- Thanks for holding the donuts for a few days. Big party coming up, so I have to be able to fit into The Dress. :D

Hello Coffee Shop dwellers! Flo, its close enough to lunch that I will have a couple of chili dogs and a big Pepsi. Wait a minute; I forgot to take my Prevacid:rolleyes: Now I'm ready...bring them on!:D

Well, got my backboards up and the seams taped and mudded. Soon as that dries, I will paint the sky on them today.

This weekend will give me a good break from this re-work. The "Alabama Rail Gang" (ARG) will have another meet over at David's home Saturday. David doesn't get on-line but has been in the hobby for a long time with a layout he has been working on for 30 years. He said that it's not big, it's just that he has made so many changes and tear-outs that he has lost count. I look forward to seeing it and playing choo-choo. Should be a good one and full of fun...that's just what I need right now.

Ya'll have a good-un!

Ken M the weather out side is frightfull, but the fire is so delightfull, and since we've no place to go let it snow let it snow let it snow,,, Mmmm

Rex have a fun time at Davids, it'll be a break from backdrops and stuff.

Ray

Steve I think that might be next year, we're all electric with our heating here night stores. But boy they run out of heat mid evening and we need something else.

Rex good luck with the painting. I'd need all of you guys over for that job!!

Ken.

Just a quick one, the wife bought a new electric iron last night, she plugged it in before unwrapping it,,,, anyhow the plastic melted all over it, whooops, another new iron required, when i asked "Why did you do that" i got some abuse even Fergie would be proud of, i think she must be ex navy

Hi gang,

I dunno Steve - With the pseudo-animations the number of slides has actually grown to over 200; but some of them will only be viewed for a second or two [illustrating train movements] so that probably won't add too much time. I can page thru them all in about 10 minutes, it's the talking part that I have to watch more carefully. practice-practice-practice...

Rex - I might apply a 2-D 'downtown' like yours to the backdrop behind my staging yard, your thread has givin me some ideas!

Not much else to chat about, take care everyone!

KenL, I am kinda toying with the idea to have the big buildings 2-D and the smaller ones 3-d. Gads! I hate it when I have ideas. :D
