Good morning.

It's 33 and clear. It will become partly cloudy later today as the temp rises to a high in the mid 50's.

Didn't get much done yesterday. I had lunch with my parents then changed out the couplers on some Athearn and Bachmann cars to Kadee's. The knockoffs were added to the piles of scrap in twp gondolas I have just for collecting scrap. It doesn't take long to get a load of scrap around here.

Uh-Oh! Someone call the police; there's going to be trouble. :D

Steve, if Bama doesn't have its head in the clouds, revenge will be sweet. Both teams are off this week, so we have a week to rest up and lick our wounds. (and the fans get into a frenzy. LOL) There should be one heck of a ball game tonight: Texas Tech vs. Oklahoma.

Just thinking: Where's the Chief (Jess Red Horse)?

Looking forward to it Rex,
Chris
there was some cracking punches thrown in the game today, real belters, but unlike football it's all part of the game so no silly stopping play because of a minor injury, just spit the broken teeth out and carry on, ha ha ha

Afternoon, everyone.

Chris, the good thing is that 93 out of 100 people are still working. Unfortunately, that's likely to seem like a really good number next year at this time.

Steve, hooray for New Zealand. I know the Kiwi's have been waiting a long time for a win over Australia. I didn't get to see the game but I read the summary on the net and it sounds like New Zealand was pretty dominant. You're right about rugby being a real man's game. I'm always surprised that more players aren't seriously injured given the level of physical contact and the lack of almost any protective gear.

Rex, Prattville stomped Auburn 42-0 last night. They play Davidson from Mobile next week and then it's the state championship, which looks like it might be a repeat of us playing Hoover. The game next week should be a walkover but, just like the Tide, they have to keep their heads out of the clouds and play the game that night, not the one two weeks later. This certainly should be out year to beat Auburn considering they have the worst team in years. I'll be interested to see how Saban plays the game since we already have a berth in the SEC championship and, except for the rivalry, the Auburn game doesn't mean much. Texas Tech's game tonight could be the pivotal game for the BCS depending on how the Tide does against Auburn and, of course beating Florida. Once it gets this late in the season, every BCS point means something.

Haven't seen Jess around either and was wondering what happened to him.

Anyone here from NYC or who gets there during the holidays? I was just reading about the big layout at Citigroup Center in MR and wondering if it got put up this year, given the dire financial straits of Citigroup.

Clear and cold overnight with a low of 27. Nice sunny day but cool and breezy with a temperature of 55 and the humidity down to 22%. We've been getting more woods fires as things are drying out bad. Not much sign of rain on the horizon either. :(

Jim i know some ex players and they do suffer off the pitch, after numerous broken bones a work friend gave up at age 35, he was past it in the recovery times, he could play no problem but not recover for ages. Another local lad died a few months back, he suffered a crushed spine which totally paralyzed him, he went to switzerland for assisted suicide, he was only in his mid 20's, it was his choice as hew knew he was totally dependant on his family for everything, he didn't want to have them care for him 24/7.

Hey Gang, Well today was an eventful day. Mowed some yards helped the wife with house work, then had dinner at ruby tuesday!:p then some shoping at wally world:).

Jim, yes, 93 out of 100 have a job and i do believe thats the best job % in the FREE world. No matter how bad it gets here it ain't the worst. my wife deals with that 7% in her job and trust me out of that 7% only 2% have a real good reason to be in that jam!..................... the rest are bums!JMO:rolleyes:

Good morning.

It's 52 and cloudy. The high should be around the upper 60's and it will be partly cloudy with a chance of rain.

As some of you are aware I finally finished my pedestrian bridge. Now my little people don't have to walk across the busy tracks to get to the park anymore. Wonder how long it'll be before the local businesses post their advertising on it. At the end of this post is an action photo of the bridge with two trains crossing beneath.

Morning everyone.

Flo I will take one of everything as long as Rex is buying.

Another cold day today, that's to be expected I guess. Going back to my Aunt and Uncle's farm today. They have an old wood shed that has been converted to an "apartment" for when my cousin gets back from Afghanistan. All we have left to do is a few pieces of trim.

I wish it was a little warmer out. He has hundreds of .45 ammo he needs me to shoot through. And last I heard, he actually has some of his model railroad up and running. I will have to check it out to see if it is true or not.

Just got done washing the car and truck! Nice day for it:)

Hello to all and hope your weekend is going the way you want it. It's a cool cloudy day in T-town with chances of badly needed rain late tonight and a better chance tomorrow.

DAN's BUYING!
Whoa! Not so fast Dan for it is YOU that must buy the spread of the day for all the good patrons of the Coffee Shop. I will wait until 2pm and have a T-bone steak, med. rare, baked potato, salad with blue cheese dressing, and a slice of coconut creme pie. For now, I would like a sausage and biscuit.

Did any of you see the destruction of #2 Texas Tech by Oklahoma last night. Jeeze, it was unreal. 65-21 and it really could have been a lot worse.

Jim/Chris: I saw a news clip on the TV yesterday and a young woman was asked what big change she would like to see first. She said, " Duh-aaa! Half of all workers in the U.S. are out of work. Duh-aaa!" Just shows the mentality of so many that pulled the levers. Where do they get this crap:mad:.

Jim: Still waiting on my .40cal magazine. They charged my credit card first of last week, but no sign of the mag. I was going to go out and do some target shooting today at my friends country place.

Well, back to the layout and continue trying to figure out the software for my signals. I have it doing everything else that needed for now, but there is something programmed wrong for the yellow lights slowing trains.

Rex According to some woman on tv today the new leader is a breath of fresh air we should all follow, ha ha ha.

Another tank sound changing day today, got some WAV clips of germans shouting at each other in a tank, they are now on board mine and sound great, added some radio transmissions in the background as well, this is fun. not much else to do as it's 42 degrees out and raining hard

Steve! HEY STEVE!!!

I have a proposition for you.

:)

That lovely big yellow tractor.

I need-no, scratch that, I WANT one. with a snowblower, and a front end loader.

it would be OH SO USEFUL here on the farm.

so.

I think your company should send one over, as a sort of TEST tractor, to see how well it can handle the rugged, harsh miserable, snowy, freezing cold dark (add any other descriptive word here that you can think of ) climate of mid-western Ontario.

just as a test, you understand. 'cause I know I sure as heck can't afford to buy one.

I look good in yellow. :D :D :D

how about it, huh huh huh??????

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
jim, that is a gruesome story. :(
