40 years ago I used a clear liquid that aged wood to a very realistic gray. Anyone remember the name of this product or know of a current source? Thanks

I use Micro Mark wood weathering/aging fluid. The weathering fluid comes in either Grey or Brown and works very well.

Weather It was made by A West, 552 N La Cadena Dr., Colton CA 92324. They may be out of business.

Thanks.

I found this product, "Weather-it" made by A-West Boxx 1144 Woodstock GA 30188, at my local hobby shop. Also see it on Walthers, no affiliation, I just liked it about 30 years ago and Im back to the hobby again. Give it a try on unpainted wood, really easy to use and water clean up no fumes.

Mix up a paste of wood ash and water. Coat your pieces, let dry, brush off.
