I have seen this video and a few others and that is a great book telling the story. I have read it.

I have another book, called the "Jawbone" railroad. This book tells about some of the winter problems it had in Montana. The Jawbone is what ended up being taken over by the Milwaukee Road in central Montana. A trip that we can now drive in less than an hour could take two weeks back then with snow taller than the train.

Sounds like the winters we have in Sweden, two things it reminds me off, my dad had a week off in railroad owned house on the border to Norway, he had to dig a tunnel to the front door, because the snow was up over the roof of the building, another time one of my pals was out skiing, suddenly he fell on his face, he couldn't understand what he'd tripped on at first, after a few minutes of checking and digging, he realised that tripped on the telephone lines!

Wow, that's very interesting especially seeing all that snow since we in Calif have been experiencing such a drought. ;)

Thanks for sharing that, I love seeing those old news clips. I was 2 yrs old when that happened and don't remember it at all LOL :)
